  9. Since Generation 1, the bicycle has been a familiar part of Pokémon travel. Over time, however, it’s been overshadowed by mounts and other more visually interesting ways to get around (options many players now naturally prefer). It’s a bit of a shame to see such a classic feature fade into the background. At the moment, we can change the bicycle’s colour, but I think there’s potential to take this much further. I’d like to suggest adding a simple upgrade to the bicycle to give it a little more character and relevance again. After careful consideration, I suggest this horn. Just kidding. The horn idea would be fun as a novelty, but what really worked in the past was the distinct identity of the bikes, like the Mach and Acro Bikes from Generation 3. The Mach Bike excelled at raw speed, while the Acro Bike focused on precision and tricks, introducing mechanics like bunny hopping and wheelies. Both bikes were useful, each serving a different purpose rather than one replacing the other. Whether we bring back variant bikes like this or merge both styles into a single customisable bike, the key is to give it meaningful value. Imagine being able to equip different in-game soundtracks to your bike rides, adding another layer of personal flavor depending on your music taste. Ultimately, the goal should be to ensure the bicycle never becomes redundant in the late game. With key selling points like superior speed (even faster than mounts) and trick-based, we can fully revive the bike’s relevance. It would feel like a true return to form. Bringing back the great bicycle that’s been part of Pokémon’s identity since the beginning. Acro Bike in action from Generation 3.
