I think the problem is the multiplayer experience. The handhelds, which PRO is based from, isn't optimized for multiplayer. Rather than players playing with each other (Guild wars, group quests, etc), players end up playing alongside each other. The experience is very much single player at its core; the multiplayer aspect is pretty much composed solely of chat, trading, and PvP. Single player games are fun until there is no longer a story to play through and no more quests to finish. There hasn't been any new content for a while, so players pretty much have nothing left to do. You'd think PvP would be fun, which brings me to my next point. PvP is the supposed end game; the feature that should keep players playing even after finishing all the content available. This is true for the Pokemon handhelds and even other MMOs. In PRO, though, this feature is not prioritized. There are multiple battle system bugs along with uncoded moves and abilities. This discourages people who would otherwise stay for PvP from staying. This imo is a massive problem since it's one of the few aspects of the game where players can truly play with each other. tldr; we need new content constantly and/or an improved end game experience

Imo this will only ruin the economy further. More MS means more pokedollars generated. This also removes the need to spend money on supporting the server, which is vital. Remember, all the MS in-game are paid for with money for server support. You have to cut off the root of the inflation, which is likely botting.

Talonflame & Gengar Getting nerfed + others S&M
Badhaxery replied to Patisaur's topic in General Game Talk
Woah, these nerfs are sad. Also, Talonflame isn't broken lmao. Saying rocks are prevalent because of it is kind of stupid because Stealth Rock has been a meta changer since its inception. You also need aggressive hazard removal to play it effectively. It's powerful, but not broken. Either way, I don't think there will be any changes as to how abilities work until SuMo Pokemon are actually implemented. -
It's too expensive imo, but much much better than nothing. Thank you!

I need help with a fire type pvp team
Badhaxery replied to Nicksupergod's topic in General Game Talk
For a fire themed team, I would consider Talonflame first, as a revenge killer/wincon. You would need to make sure rocks are always off the field so you may want a dedicated hazard remover (Forretress so it doesn't compound your water weakness?) and/or a Taunt lead. You may also want to give Drought Ninetales a look for easier nuking. Happy building! -
When everything means mashing just one key, I'd rather have it automated. This also helps mobile users. +1

That's not necessary, but buyers would probably appreciate that more. Honestly, as long as you're not faking offers, you'd probably be fine. Just take screenshots in case of reports.
-
You should be able to sell to any of those three. Last call means it's the last time you're going to advertise, but your current bidders can still bid as much as they want to. This is just my opinion though. Without an actual auction house feature, there will always be gray areas.

I doubt it. Either way, I believe making it more accessible, like putting it in NPC shops, is a better solution.

Does Facade work like it's supposed to? I did a quick search and didn't find anything. I heard some time ago that Hex doesn't, so I thought Facade might not either. Confirmation would be great. Thanks in advance!

General Complaint's classified? WTH!
Badhaxery replied to Teamrocketdeath's topic in General Game Talk
Uh, couldn't you use the suggestion subforums for things you'd like to discuss with the community? There's plenty of feedback there. -
If your Synchronize Pokemon is on the 1st slot of your party, there's a 50% chance your wild Pokemon encounters will have the same nature as your Synchronize Pokemon. (Adamant, Jolly, Timid etc.) In battle, if your Synchronize Pokemon gets Paralyzed, Burned, or Poisoned, the opposing Pokemon will be afflicted by the same status.

This is an issue, its not about counter, outclassed or whatever you and other people mentioned. Its about the varieties and options in TEAM BUILD, decent / epic legendary = wider options in team build and not everyone have this option since they got very trash legendaries. I was talking about the proposed ban. But regarding wider options, yeah, I agree.
-
I don't think this is an issue right now since the three implemented legendaries are outclassed by plenty of Pokemon, and Jirachi in particular needs a Choice Scarf to be effective. It'll be a much different story once Choice Scarves and Manaphy are added into the game though.
-
Ah, I've been there, but with many different Pokemon lol. Also, saying Gothitelle can only trap a few Pokemon is absurd. It can trap nearly any defensively oriented Pokemon who can't phaze or VoltTurn out. Comparing it to Magnezone is ridiculous because Magnezone's ability is pretty much limited to trapping Skarmory, Ferrothorn, and Scizor. Even then, Sturdy Skarm can Whirlwind, and most Scizor carry Superpower/U-turn. Other steels usually carry Earthquake which pretty much wrecks Magnezone.

Oops double post. Sorry.

Uh, I think PRO's formula is a lot faster than the handhelds. Granted, this is only true if you don't evolve your Pokemon. In my most recent experience, it took less than 30 KOs for my Drilbur to get from level 97-98 in Cerulean Cave, and I didn't even have MS. Earlier levels take significantly less KOs. My Level 79 Paras leveled up every two or three KOs from level 60 at Mt. Silver. Leveling from 98-100 is a much different story, but you could use Rare Candies for that. I do agree that postponing evolution takes out a lot of the fun in playing, but at least, in a sense, they give you an option which involves grinding substantially less.

Is Expert Belt coded? I tried searching around and found conflicting answers. I've been running it on my Weavile for the longest time now and it would suck knowing it doesn't do anything lol.
-
Oh. If that's the case, then it was probably done to prevent abuse. It can be abused the other way around, though, just relog everytime you're about to lose and no one gets coins off you XD Either way, I'm sure this'll be fixed somehow.
-
I am well aware of that, what i mean by abusing it is when someone use alt account and find match at the same time (when there is only few people online and play ranked) and when they find each other he can simply disconnect his alt account to get free coins and then REPEAT. Oh yeah, that is a concern. I'm pretty sure they will penalize that though, since it's basically abuse.
-
I don't think the delay is as long as that :o I won one match earlier, and by the time I was finished with my second, I was already awarded one coin for my first win. I relogged for my second coin. I'll need to ladder more to test.
-
what do you mean by "having to actually win."? I meant clicking "Find Match" doesn't automatically net you coins.
-
Shane said it can take sometime until it updates your score. It looks like you don't earn any coins if your opponent disconnects from battle. Can someone confirm this? There seems to be a delay regarding the awarding of points, so it may just be that. I haven't laddered enough yet, but it seems you can refresh your coins instantly upon relogging.
