  1. I still think it would take an absurd amount of time to abuse coins. Matches can take a while so it might be more productive to farm in-game IMO. There's also the problem of having to actually win. On the other hand, it does seem unfair to people who care about their ranking, since some people can just PvP over and over. People who have reached a high ranking can stop laddering and move to an alt to farm wins. It's also very possible for one person to have multiple accounts up the ladder, as it is in a certain simulator. All in all though, I think the system is okay overall. More people in the ranked queue is always good. I don't know how balanced the rewards are right now, but those are fixed easily by adjusting prices.
  2. I still have my points. It'll begin once they have been reset.
  3. I think this just increases the likelihood of accidental Pokemon deletes.
  4. Probably after the update.
  5. There are only singles at the moment. I think they're working on doubles.
  6. As far as PvP goes, the best would probably be Torchic, but only with its Hidden Ability. Safest choice would be Mudkip as it doesn't need its HA to be viable.
  7. I think getting coins based on your win are better than getting it based on rating because it will encourage people to do more battle even if they lose. but yah 1 point per win sounds very easy to abuse, that being said. maybe there is a limit about how many coins an account could get per season while top ladder could get some extra bonus coins. Well to get 300coins + u need to battle a lot that why I like the system everyone will battle = no more dead pvp queue , it's encouraging :y: + we really need pvp items so it's a good way to get them Yeah, and I don't think it'll be easy to abuse at all. You still need to win a fair amount to get items. Even the guys at the top of the ladder only have a hundred or so wins. As far as rewarding skill, the top 25 do get bonus rewards so yeah. Edit: About this new coin system: do we only get coins at the end of the season, or do we immediately get one after every win?
  8. You could also use Wine. I run Lubuntu on one of my computers and it's what I use.
  9. Which badge did you obtain last? You can go east of Vermilion then all the way south then west to get to Fuchsia. You need to have finished the Lavender Tower quest.
  10. Mine has wish too. Maybe you just need to restart your client?
  11. Bump. Scald can still burn on Water Absorb.
  12. No, unfortunately. You could still teach it if it's an egg move but it's gone otherwise.
  13. Making Focus Sash not consumable in PvP would flood the game with it. I agree that it is barely usable as it is now, but the proper solution would be to make it farmable. Making bosses drop them is a good idea, but it isn't nearly enough if you're doing PvP often with a sash set. Thor did mention that there will be a more permanent way to get battle oriented items, but for now, I agree that they should be made purchasable or at least be common drops from digs/headbutts. They're useful, but nowhere near useful enough to be closely controlled.
  14. You have to pay for a kid's $75,000 rent in Vermilion, after which he gives you a bike voucher. You can exchange the voucher for a bike at Cerulean.
  15. Lol I wish we could see percentages at least.
  16. I don't necessarily agree with the friend part, but I definitely want an option that hides all the other players. I play on low end hardware every now and then and it just straight up stalls at Dragon's Den at peak hours (or at least when I used to grind there). Not to mention my experience with Jackson's Eevee at Pallet: there was a player on its tile and many other players around it. Being a noob, I didn't know what to do next since I couldn't see the Eevee. I wouldn't say this is a priority, but as far as suggestions go, I believe this would make the game better.
  17. Back when I first played, I was actually looking for an option like this. Some maps just look completely cluttered, and I wasn't even able to see the Eevee at the start because there were way too many people around it. I would love this feature.
  18. Legendaries aren't inherently overpowered, though. Things like Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Arceus, etc definitely shouldn't be catchable because they would break the game. Other things, though, such as the Regi trio, Articuno, etc wouldn't make too much of a difference because they're relatively weak. I'm not saying they should be, but why aren't they catchable? I know that PVP viable Pokemon such as Zapdos, Suicune, etc would be some of the best Pokemon for PVP and battles in general, but I don't think they'd be game breaking at all.
  19. They're adding moves little by little and are fixing broken moves in waves. I don't know how they prioritize stuff, but we just have to wait.
  20. https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=120&t=29668
  21. You find the first vendor in Johto. There's another one in Hoenn IIRC. Check the TM guide for more info.
  22. I tried teaching my Skarmory Whirlwind using the TM I bought from Celadon, but the game says Skarmory can't use the TM. Skarmory has had access to Whirlwind since 2nd gen so it's not a problem with outdated movesets.
  23. Beat me to it :(
  24. Level it up at Petalburg Woods.
  25. Without trades? I think you're pretty much limited to grinding. You also have access to Dig at this point, so try digging around Mt. Moon for Nuggets/Stardusts which you can sell near Bill's house.
