You can not use steel-type poke (ferrothorn) @edit Oh wait, now i see their names are changed. So if she talk about dark type pokes means that maybe you can not take fight-type pokes instead of steel-type as it was recently

Beating Nikola gives you another chance for suicune to appear. You have to beat guardian more times
