60 seconds cooldown to recover a battle after a disconnect
Glogs replied to Xmonts's topic in Suggestions
This is actually what they have been doing recently. With the implementation of Python, all of the reworked bosses are able to differ between a player DC and a server crash. I don't think it'd encourage boosting more. While I think the DC timer is good to have, I don't think it's there to discourage people from boosting. If you really wanted to boost, there certainly are other... not so obvious ways around it. As for the idea as a whole, I'm not sure I can get behind it. I've had a number of disconnects from the server this month on times where others didn't. It's not my net, I know that. It's not the power either. Most likely, it was an unstable connection to the server, and it may break occasionally. The idea is just not very whole, yet. How many times would you be "allowed" to disconnect per PvP battle before not having the chance to reconnect? Once, twice or three times? If you're struggling with a bad internet connection, I get why it can be difficult to get things done, but the question really becomes if this feature is going to help you much at all. Nonetheless, I'm not necessarily against this being implemented, there just needs to be a balance in how it works. -
There's no text for "Get Coins" nor "Buy" or what they're used to saying. Essentially only green and orange colours now. Picture of it here: <https://imgur.com/a/o5xLnNF> I have tried restarting the client, which didn't help the problem. I'm seemingly still able to buy stuff, so that doesn't seem to be a problem. A guildmate of mine has the same issue.

Hey there, Shonnie. I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused. Last Saturday, a new client was uploaded holding the fix for the mailbox problem. It was however an optional update, meaning it wasn't needed to log onto the servers. Redownloading the client should solve your problem. Download links can be found here. I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Well actually.. It's stronger than Blissey. As for the team in the thread: Rain teams generally aren't all too strong because of the large amount of ferrothorns/Chansey/Tangrowth/Amoonguss' around, If I had to run a rain team in this meta, I'd probably be using Jynx or Manaphy... especially Manaphy. Personally, I've had much more success with balanced teams, granted it has been a while since I last played a game of PvP. Idkup made these fantastic guides than can be found here and here. Very recommendable to read through and attempt to understand.

You were part of the Discord team in my mind, I cri. I'll miss you, Calahan.

My time has come. I never got around to make an introduction of myself on the forum, so I’ll make sure this post is a bit longer to compensate for what you would have missed in the introduction. Kudos if you manage to read all of the way through it. It all started in 2016… my journey to become the Pokémon master. The first time I tried to log in, I recall the servers having a queue of 700 people. The servers crashed daily, if not hourly… felt like that, anyways. Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far the game has come and how the community has grown as a whole. For a while, the only thing I did in PRO was PvP. There were no other aspects of it. I was... bad. I spammed games and reached a number of games per season that far exceeds anything I’d be able to do nowadays. Not sure how I sat through that, but the journey was worthwhile. Other times… I literally spent hours on end just killing Pokémon in the wild to get money, cause that was my superior knowledge at the time :> Almost a year ago, around Christmas, I decided it was time to find some better minded people to talk to. I applied for NoMercy and was accepted. This was a whole new chapter, not to mention, the one I’ll treasure the most. My application stated something along the lines of: “I aspire to reach top 5 on the ladder with a better win-rate than I currently am able to pull off”. Countless of people have helped me throughout this process. Not only did I have people to talk with regarding teambuilding, everyone seemed to willingly give me the mon I needed to try it out and see how it worked. For both of these, I want to thank the following people (my deepest apologies if I forgot someone): Jorogumo, SgtBianco, Squad, Ulas, Belzebel, teerav, Cow, Luke (who is not a NoMercy member, but definitely is as good of material, love you boo ), Geno, Chris, Nanoluck, Pispi, Coup, Purp (insert the name of any NoMercy member, really). I can confidently say I have improved my PvP abilities since I joined the guild, and I have hopefully helped other people improve theirs as well. Having finished Rank 1 on Silver for every season since August and also winning the August ladder tournament, as well as finishing first on both ladders in the season of November 2018, the time has come for another player to take over. I might return some day, but until then, be good sports about it! I admittedly didn’t stretch this as far as I thought I would’ve been able to, but thank you for reading through it… if you made it. It has been more of a personal overview than a goodbye message, but what do we say to the god of goodbyes? Answer is: “Not today” And thus starts a new chapter. Make the best of it and enjoy the game. There truly are people working hard to keep it running for you all, don’t take it for granted. Enough about that, cause my lovely guild wasn’t the only new experience I got to have in my 2018 year of PRO. In late March I got the chance to try my luck as a Discord Moderator for the Official PRO Discord. I had a wonderful time there. Not only is the community great (unless the servers are down, huehue), but I got to meet and make a lot of new friends. I can only be grateful for how I have been treated by you all, it has been a pleasant experience. Thus, ends my 2018 year. I trust I’ll see some familiar faces when I return. Farewell in the meanwhile! My apologies for ranting a little :>

This is fundamentally not true and cannot be applied to the game, at all. It would be the case if it was theorised that each and every PVPer is of equal skill and the match ups were "fair", but they aren't, and they never will be. Take football for example, the teams in the middle of the table are those most likely to have around a 50% winrate. It's not because they play the top teams more often than they play anyone else, cause they literally play each team the same amount of times throughout the season. Now, I do realise this is somewhat counterproductive because you don't have any set matches in PRO, but bare with me. Moving on from the previous note. You already established that it's impossible to have this "perfect" matchmaking system. However, the win-rate isn't useless. You mention: Your win ratio depends on the luck you have with matchmaking, which means your rating does too. Spamming an insane amount of games in a season increases your chance of getting 30 bad opponents in a row and therefore climbing, does it not? I mean - you do the math and everything, but don't try to tell me the chance isn't higher if you play 1500 games compared to playing 150. A person may be good enough to be around 400 rating with a 60% winrate, for example. However, that same person may play a lot of matches throughout a season, and eventually he/she is going to win enough matches to go well above 400 rating, because there's a probability of either getting bad opponents and not getting haxed in those games, or getting decent/good opponents and haxing/winning against them naturally. That natural 400 rating player may lose 8 or 9 out of 10 times to the better player, but if this is the one game where said person wins, their rating will LIKELY be higher than their usual "max" rating. Remember Leicester City almost being relegated one season and then winning the Premier League the season after? Yeah, they exceeded their skill cap and were arguably lucky as well. It happens, though. Considering Pokémon as a whole is much less skill involved and relies more on luck, it is much more applicable, in my opinion. People already have access to use alt accounts in PVP, because of their competetive anxeity, so why is it not fair? The fact that they shouldn't be allowed it a whole other discussion, but there really aren't any arguments to be made. It doesn't disencourage PVP'ing. It really is about what your incentive is to start off with, is it not? You rarely see people with the same rating on top of the ladder at the end of a season. I primarely PVP because I enjoy it and want to end on ladder, although it isn't very hard at the current point in time, from a subjective point of view, obviously. If your incentive is you want to end on ladder, you have no reason to PVP while you're on ladder anyways. If your incentive is to have fun and test teams, or even get PVP coins, you have no reason to care. It really wouldn't change anything.

Not sure why this is not a thing already. As far as I've been able to see, it comes down to who has the earliest letter in the alphabet. That sounds just about fair, right? Not sure what the max amount of characters a person can have in his name is, but whatever the amount, I'm filling it up with A's at the next possible chance to change my username. After playing enough games, you will get sorted into your natural rating one way or another. It's not about the lucky winstreak you may have versus 20 newer players. If you end up winning those 20, you'll eventually get up against someone who's better. It's bound to happen.

Hey there. There's an NPC in Vermillion Pokécenter called: "Explorer". Talking to this NPC should help with your problem. Good luck!

Hey there. The Pangoro hat is only obtainable via the PvP shop, as far as I know. PVP coins are obtained through ranked battling, granting you 1 PVP coin per win. At the end of the season, should you happen to be in the uppermost 25 of each server, you will be granted an additional amount of PvP coins for your hard work! You can check the amount of PvP coins you have through your Trainer Card. The Pangoro hat costs 100 coins, while the cloak costs 250, should you be interested in both parts of it. You can check the PvP shop at the PvP coin master of each region (all regions have the same items available). Kanto - Vermilion. Johto - Olivine. Hoenn - Mauville. Sinnoh - Canalave. Should you wish to read more about PvP coins, check out the PRO wiki page for it, here. I sincerely hope that answered all of your questions regarding the Pangoro hat. If not, please ask for further information. Good luck!

The drivers could easily be "old", along with the version of windows you're running. Not necessarily the hardware itself. You could also try cleaning your cache and temporary files and reinstalling PRO afterwards. Good luck!

Hey there. As stated on the list of bugged moves and abilities, this move is currently bugged. Therefore, I'd suggest not using it, or any other moves that aren't coded correctly (or not at all). Does this mean relaunching your client? If not, please describe what happens. Kind Regards

Good day! The solution may very well be to reset your password through the Dashboard again. Be careful with showing your Dashboard too much, you usually don't want everyone to see your IP. Let me know if it works :) Kind Regards

IGN: GlogS Current rating: 533 Seasons you were on ladder: At least the last two seasons and some more than that. Vote: Keep the rule. Reason: It's not going to do anything for the PVP envoirement, at all. The only difference is whether you're being gatekept by an alt account with 1 rating or their main account. I could get high rating early season and use the remainder of the season attempting to keep other players away from that rating. You can easily test teams on your main account... it's not like you'd be going around playing teams that don't have a chance of winning if you believe this rule should be removed anyways... or well, I'm not sure how anyone else teambuilds. That's not to mention what would happen to the guild rankings, I'll go with what teerav said.

Truly a pogchamp worthy moment. May the luckiest comment win. -
Hello there! The Baton Pass clause is one of the more complex rules regarding PVP. I'll attempt to explain it to the best of my ability - and if you're in doubt, you're always free to ask more. For reference, all of the PVP rules can be found here. The Baton Pass clause states: Baton Pass Clause: A Pokemon cannot pass +Speed and another stat simultaneously. You are limited to have only one Baton Pass Pokemon per team. This means you (or your opponent) are allowed to use Baton Pass in situations where you pass Attack, for example. You can basically pass anything, as long as you don't pass Speed along with another stat. You're also limited to one Baton passer per team. If you want to report this incident, I imagine video evidence would be the most sufficient. Kind Regards and good luck!
