The queue waiting time depends on the amount of people who are in the queue so yeah it can take 5-8 minutes but it can also take 20-30 mins sometimes :s But waiting is best thing to do yes unless it's been over an hour then i suggest just to retry and see if the queue shows up. For me it works when i just keep spamming login button xD

You're in a ghost queue it means you are in a queue but it doesnt show it and if you dont trust it that way just keep trying untill it does show up ;p

Make sure your game is updated and there is also a thing called the ghost queue, the queue doesnt show at that point but you are actually in one.
