Sent out a staraptor against a Vaporeon, and when I used brave bird, my opponent used detect. The Vaporeon managed to prevent itself from getting hit due to the protection. Unfortunately my Staraptor was damaged from the recoil even if Vaporeon didnt get damaged.

The ID of the Pokemon is usually displayed by the system when you release it.(Colored in Green) "System: Your Nosepass (ID: xxxxxxx) has been released" Since you were not able to provide the SS of the ID, I'm afraid nothing can be done. :(

I don't think anything can be done if you do not provide the ID of the pokemon released. I'm sorry for your loss, but do be careful next time.

Espeon is best with its HA, Magic bounce, but your eevee does not have hidden ability. However, Jolteon is good without its H.A, as volt absorb is prefered rather than quick feet. I would go for Jolteon.

FYI, the both of you do not have to be in the same map. Anyways, what did the system say when the battle command didnt work? It says that i have sent the battle request to ('my friend'). There is no error message informing me that my pokemon are 20 levels above his. He just does not receive the battle request, even after we restart the game from our desktops. Could you test it on another player?
