  1. I'll pop in just to say that there isn't anything "skillful" into having good rng, statistically speaking one could farm for 1000 hours straight and never find a decent pokemon, you just increase the chances of finding one over time.
  2. Allow me a smile and a compliment if that was ironic xD
  3. I think that the OT rule shouldn't be there for a competitive event like a tournament in PRO, that's like wanting to make an Olympic game open to more people by restricting the amount of training an athlete can do. A core component to PRO is its market, trading pokemon and farming money to buy pokemon is a fundamental element to the game, and no one (or very few people, for personal choice) ever paid much attention to the OT, considering only the “quality” of the pokemon. Everyone in this MMO strived to get the best possible combination of ability/nature/IVs, that can be achieved through 2 different ways: hunting or trading. Since everyone knows that the spawn rates are specifically designed for a MMO environment (some pokemon are so rare that only few players will be ever able to obtain epic ones through hunting), restricting a tournament to OT-only pokemon really upsets everyone who focused and spent a lot of time into obtaining really good pokemon through trading. A “tournament” is itself the definition of competitiveness, the best player wins, it's not something that should be designed to give a winning-chance to as many people as possible by providing an equal “disadvantage” to everyone. The OT rule not only penalizes the veteran players without almost any OT pokemon left (because the longer you’re in the game, the more epic pokemon you get, the less OT pokemon you have because you realized that in order to get a good competitive team, trading is necessary), but also penalizes the less experienced players that focused on trading since very early in the game. The OT-rule makes this tournament designed in a way that “lucky” people are given an enormous advantage, the one with the better legendary or the better luck in general will prevail. The ones with experience in PvP won’t likely participate by hunting a whole new team specifically for this tournament, given all the effort that they put into building a good competitive team already. If the original intention of the event was to involve a wider amount of people, probably a better idea would be to design a different kind of event that gives clear advantages to lucky people and puts everyone in the same starting position, something like a hide and seek event or anything different from a PvP tournament. Tournaments will be always won by people with experience in PvP and that are likely already in the ladder, like Olympic games will be always won by the best athlete that put the most effort into training. That said, it’s just my opinion, and as a former staffer I’d like to see the community appreciating the effort of the current staffers that dedicated their time into making this event as enjoyable as possible for you. We can all post our criticism in a way that doesn’t demoralize the people that are working hard for PRO community (there is already someone who takes good care of constantly doing so, no need to add the community to that as well). Everything can be talked through in a nice way <3
  4. will miss you bud, I'll hang around on discord anyways :)
  5. Chappy, Lunestra, Carel, Yasham, Pixiu, Ravine, Ivuch, Qhinn, Dimitri and me left :) A substantial amount of staff left on their own will, this is something different that staff coming and going :P Good luck to all the new staff to come :)
  6. It's not a staff revamp, we choose on our own will to leave because something happened :)
  7. Yep, sad is the appropriate term :p Bye Pixi-you, see you never
  8.   Stay in touch qhinn, had a really good time with you both on player and on staff :)
  9. Saddens me to leave every one of you, from the toxic player in yellow when the server just opened, from the spammer, the botter, the insulting 30 years old kid to the helpful player, the passionate veteran even after everything that hasn't been done, the shy lone wolf player that plays silently, the hardcore PvPer, the shiny collector and the newbie who just started. I really enjoyed this community, made some really good friends and I had fun talking with the ones of you I interacted with. You guys are really amazing, and you deserved a lot better than the service we offered. I strived to make the game slightly better for everyone of you, hopefully I'll be leaving something decent to work with for the few ones that stayed and the eventual ones who'll come. Before you ask, I won't go in any detail of the reasons of so many staffers leaving, many of you realized already that those aren't single departures. Enjoy the game, keep being an amazing community
  10. I never spoke to this person, shiny charmander is still obtainable and would appreciate if people didn't put words in my mouth that I didn't say :)
  11. Have you re-battled the non-boss Koichi npc? If not try to do so :)

  13. We don't want PRO to die as well, it's a rough time for PRO without a doubt, many players and staff members left. We're doing our best with the limited resources we have, everyone is working really hard, to the point of burning out and leaving/taking a break afterwards; not considering that everything PRO Staff does is done in our spare time and since we have a job, friends, family, those things obviously have priority. We're working to bring out some new contents and updates that will greatly improve the experience of the game (like PvP implementations, new contents, some revamps), but we're limited in what we can bring out in the actual client, since that is possible only for Shane to do, and at the moment he is absent (like he said in the announcement). That said, we're still here and still caring for our community :)
  14. Nope, it wasn't the case. Disconnecting prevents the addition of coins, even if the win was counted and the rating went up. Not being able to get a single PvP coin because everyone disconnects is worse, like it was before the introduction of this restriction. Server crashes are way less frequent nowadays than they were in the past, and as said, the surrender button and others implementation for a healthier PvP are being worked on and will be implemented.
  15. It was added few days after PvP coins, to prevent the abuses that involved disconnecting not to give the other player +1 coin. Surrender button has been proposed many times already, likely will be introduced eventually, but the "when" is up to Shane. There are some other priorities to be worked on at the moment, like building an healthier PvP environment with the introduction of all the core items / abilities.
  16. This topic is kinda pointless, we don't ban when sleep is self-induced by a move like rest or caused unintentionally (like for effect spore). If we see a breeloom in the opposing team that caused it, we don't proceed with the ban until we make sure that sleep was caused by spore. Tell your friend to open an appeal like everyone else, might have been a mistake from one of our staff member, we're humans and we make mistakes sometimes, especially when dealing with over hundreds of reports. - Locked -
  17. Moved to proper place. Thank you for reporting this possible bug, will be looked into closely. I'll leave this thread open to update on any further development.
  18. Moved to proper place, the thread is currently open. - Locked as solved -
  19. Moved to proper section.
  20. Thanks for letting us know, move will be tested and the bug fixed as soon as possible :) (also moved to the proper section, battle system bugs)
