Nope, it wasn't the case. Disconnecting prevents the addition of coins, even if the win was counted and the rating went up. Not being able to get a single PvP coin because everyone disconnects is worse, like it was before the introduction of this restriction. Server crashes are way less frequent nowadays than they were in the past, and as said, the surrender button and others implementation for a healthier PvP are being worked on and will be implemented.

It was added few days after PvP coins, to prevent the abuses that involved disconnecting not to give the other player +1 coin. Surrender button has been proposed many times already, likely will be introduced eventually, but the "when" is up to Shane. There are some other priorities to be worked on at the moment, like building an healthier PvP environment with the introduction of all the core items / abilities.

This topic is kinda pointless, we don't ban when sleep is self-induced by a move like rest or caused unintentionally (like for effect spore). If we see a breeloom in the opposing team that caused it, we don't proceed with the ban until we make sure that sleep was caused by spore. Tell your friend to open an appeal like everyone else, might have been a mistake from one of our staff member, we're humans and we make mistakes sometimes, especially when dealing with over hundreds of reports. - Locked -

The point is that we can try to retrieve the stolen pokemon, sometimes the player stops playing and doesn't access his/her account anymore and that's the most common reason of why in some cases it's not possible to get back what was stolen. Regarding trustable players I don't get why you say there is no point in finding those, this is a community game in which you find yourself interacting with other people a lot, making good friends and enjoying the game experience is a core part of the game. Yeah unluckily can happen, for really good and valuable pokemon staff is always the safest choice :) Remember to screenshot every trade / trade-related conversation you make, so in case of scam we can actually try to recover your pokemon, but hopefully won't be the case :y:
