i tried all that except for restarting the client like 10 times i only did it twice

so im trying to do the teleport quest in hoenn and i get to the part where wattson tells u to install a cd on 5 computers, as soon as im done talking to him the game freezes and my character wont move but i can still talk in chat and move stuff around. i tried re-logging to see if that fixes the issue and it does, but the quest doesnt go through which means i still have to talk to wattson in order to finish the quest. i talked to him again and it still freezes. tell me what i can do besides avoid this quest which is super important?
