I think its the first reason, too. Its obviously clear that many people only buy pokes to sell them. Even though this is how it works and its completely okay, there are still people who are insulting them for doing so. You just have to look up all of these posts from crybabys who yelling about membership resellers.

It was said, that the daycare pokemon are syncable and have a shiny chance as well. I have no idea about how anything is coded, but shouldnt it be nearly the same function? I cant remember which (former) staff said that but it was surely the one who intoduced the doctor's quest.

In my oppinion, staff shouldnt talk about any new events beforehand. Im here since before the launch of the beta and its always the same: Something gets announced. Then it gets delayed. It gets an ETA. Then it gets delayed again and staff say there wasnt an ETA at all. And finally in December we get our Halloween Event. The history of Pro. If nothing gets announced, people wont be disappointed. It's as simple as that.
