The Shiny Rocks in excavation sites don't feel like they are worth the 75 coins for. I feel like there should be better items and a higher chance for rare pokemon, or maybe add another shiny rock or two? most of the time when I hit them I get junk, artifacts (which I think should be removed from the shiny rocks) and just low tier pokes. To me they just feel like any other plain rock.

Eventually the 75c you spend on a pickaxe can be recouped on shiny rocks. I've been doing excavations for a long long time and I'm still yet to see a Litleo in the Feral Site shiny rock.

Yet, I've had 4-5 Rotom which have sold for much more than the original cost of the pickaxe.

 

The issue isn't that you won't eventually make your 75c investment back (because you will) but rather, that it seems a very long time before you do.

Maybe a little tweak.

Pick Axe is not only for Shiny rock, it's to use Rock Smash without having a slave pkm in your team.

Also shiny rocks give a lot of discoveries and can really help speed up the processes of unlocking excavation stuff.

also i fell that we should be able to use the pickaxe on the love island rocks.

fells pointless to have this item when in love island the rocks still ask for a pokemon with rock smash and also with enough happiness to use it.
