Choosing my 6 Pokemons

Hi.

 

I am in Kanto and I would like to have 6 pokemon during all the gyms and elite 4 without changing them.

 

Going to be with my starter (Charizard) and I was given the advice to have Garydos and Haunter (Hopefully gonna get Gengar), which will be great against the elite 4.

 

I know that evolving makes it harder to level up, but I prefer it that way.

 

So which 3 more should I choose?

 

Also, which Pokemons should learn the HMs, Dig and Rock Smash moves (or any other Out of Battle moves)?

Full suggestion:

 

Charizard (helps vs 4th 7th and 8th gym), helps vs lorelei e4 (just a bit tho, she has water and ice types), bruno e4 (if you have flying attacks), champion.

Gyarados (helps vs 6th gym with crunch, 7th with waterfall, 8th with equake) , helps vs agatha e4 (crunch), lance (any dragon move after dragon dancing), champion.

Gengar (the GOD mvp), helps vs 4th gym (using poison moves), 5th (psychic moves), 6th (shadow ball), 8th (shadow ball), lorelei (use thunderbolt), bruno (use psychic), agatha (use shadow ball), lance (icy wind/thunderbolt), mix moves vs champion.

 

Personal suggestions:

 

Machamp destroys 5th gym with equake (ask someone to sell you the tm), helps in 7th, 8th (dangerous though), destroys lorelei, helps vs bruno, helps vs lance (if it has rock slide), is useful vs champion.

Alakazam (Gengar's best buddy), destroys 4th gym, 5th, 6th, and helps vs the 8th one. In e4, it destroys bruno and agatha, it can somewhat help vs the others.

As a last, Magnezone: almost immune to 4th gym, 5th gym immunity, 6th gym resistance, 8th gym can tank, destroys lorelei, helps vs agatha, destroys lance, helps vs champion.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Not close to get Eevee or Machamp and did not get the chance to catch Magnemite yet.

Added Kadabra, Nidoran M and Exeggcute to the team.

 

Anyone else has any other opinion please?

 

Also, what about the moves Out of Battle?

 

I used until now Granbull with the 3 types of fang attacks, Gloom, Mankey (changed it once I got a Gastly) and Raichu.

 

I also caught a Pawniard with really decent IVs that I can use.

 

Right now I have 2 badges and planning to train my six to level 30 for the next gym.

All the moves out of battle except for (I think) Dive, Flash and Waterfall are learnable by Nidoking. You can use a Parasect for Flash, Cut, Spore and False Swipe (two out of battle moves and two to make your capturing easier), Nidoking with Dig, Surf, Headbutt and Rock Smash and Lanturn to Dive, and Waterfall. Rock Smash is almost unnecessary in PRO, you don't use Fly but you use the Subway System and there's no Strength rocks to move.

So there are 8 moves to use out of battle.

 

I meant I need my 6 Pokemons which I am using to have all these moves, so getting Lanturn or Parasect is pointless.

 

So I can give Nidoking Surf, Dig, Headbutt and Rock Smash.

 

Give Gyarados Waterfall and Dive.

 

What about Flash and Cut?

To be honest Gengar alone can take the e4 of Kanto just teach him the following moves; Thunderbolt,Shadow Ball,Psychic and any other last moves and you should be fine.
