Literally feeling all this same stuff, and it's years later. This game feels like an endless grind, that it's more frustrating than actually fun to play. At this point i'm nearly done with Kanto and can not imagine myself doing this same thing over in a different region. So much feels broken about the game that the play experience just isn't enjoyable.

Same here. Played forever ago and decided to try it again thinking things must have improved if its lasted this long. People are talking about how many event forms they've found and I haven't seen a single one, only thing I can assume is you're supposed to treat this like a second job or hook up a bot. See advice about running multiple accounts and that doesn't sound like a game to me. And the money sinks early on are just silly, you're supposed to be draining money at the endgame not from the newer players.

Good framework here but then its ruined by excessive grind and horrible odds.

Edit: I don't think its just the amount of grind, I can grind a regular MMO dungeon for a drop no problem because the fights are engaging, here the grind is just running back and forth and 1 shotting things for xp or running away if its not shiny/event form depending on your goal. Its a grind without any actual game to it, theres no strategy or choice, its the type of work we gave to AI/machines a long time ago for a reason. If they want to have a grind then make it something that you actually have to play to do rather than something mindless, give us a battletower or questlines rather than braindead pacing.

That's sad.
