Euripides
Since I've seen some confused people, this could help. Where can the NPC be found? It can be found at various harbour houses. This means that it will be there in one of the houses in Vermilion/Olivine/Lilycove/Canalave. What does this NPC do? It basically saves money and time by saving and applying different (6) sets. [Explained below] Is it available for all Pokemon? No, it can only be done for legendary/ mythical Pokemon. What are sets (in this context) ? Let's say you have this Manaphy. Nature: Timid Ability: Hydration EVs: 252 SPATK/ 252 SPE/ 06 HP Moveset: - Rain Dance - Ice Beam - Surf - Tail Glow The part in white is a set, here. It consists of a Nature, an ability, EVs and a moveset. Why is the Set Master useful and how do I use it? Certain Pokemon can have different "sets", which means they can be used in many ways. For example, let's take Mew. SET 1 Ability: Synchronize EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD Careful: Nature - Will-O-Wisp - Taunt - Knock Off - Soft-Boiled SET 2 Ability: Synchronize EVs: 240 HP / 52 Def / 216 Spe Jolly Nature - Earthquake - Will-O-Wisp - Soft-Boiled - Stealth Rock So as seen above, these are examples of two different Mew sets (just examples, not "suggested" sets). So if you are a PvPer, you might use a single legendary Pokemon in different ways. So before, you had to reroll its nature/ ability/ retrain EVs/ change movesets every time you needed a different set. But this NPC makes this task easier. When you interact with the NPC, you'll see this. 1. You click on on "save set" and then choose the legendary Pokemon. This NPC will now save the current set of your Pokemon. If you want to save a different set, you have to change the required things (ability/nature/EVs/movesets) and save it again. 2. Now, click on "Load Set", and you can load the sets you chose for 50k. Now you can swap between these two sets anytime you want! It saves alot of money and time. 3. You can delete a Pokemon's set anytime you want by clicking on "Delete set" Does this save IVs? NO, it does not. The reason is kind of obvious, it can be used to abuse IV rerolls. I never PvP, is this useful to me? Kind of, yes. Mew is a great False Swiper because it has the ability Sync. So now you can save different (6, technially) Mew sets (basically natures) and load them according to the required sync. This is kind of expensive though. You can also use some legendary Pokemon for bosses, so yea, kind of useful here as well. Is there a limit to the number of sets I can save? Yes, 6. [/Quote] My Pokemon's PP got changed! A staff member said that they're aware of this and that it can not be fixed, as of now, at least. Good luck 1 No amount of money ever bought a second of time
