After I got Blastoist mega stone I go for another one which is Venusaur Mega stone. I got Bulbasaur with correct IV but always loose to fight with Prof Oak. So I decided to give up and select option number three "to train other pokemon. When I catch Charmander with good IV and correct nature, I go to meet prof oak to show my pokemon. The the dialogue in the attach video happened. So right now I just have Blastoise Mega Stone. No Charizard or Venusaur because of this bug?!

Pretty sure naive doesnt work for for Charmander on that quest. Adamant, Jolly, Modest, Timid and Impish are the correct natures iirc.

Bulbasaur probably doesnt work because you already showed him a Bulbasaur and even the Venusaur after that, thats only my assumption though.

I'm also facing this problem as well, and I have the correct nature and high IV for my charmander. Is there any solution/suggestion to this problem?

Is the Charmander your OT and did you catch it after you talked to Professor Oak?

I got it from somebody else. but that's not the only thing I did too I catch Myself  squirtle with the correct nature and high enough IV but still hving the same issue here

Yes, ignore the OT thing. OT is not needed for the quest, just has to be caught after you talked to Professor Oak.

So your issue is that you cant defeat Oak with your Venusaur to proceed in the quest?

I guess u could put it that way but Oak wont let me finish this quest no matter how many correct nature charmander or squirtle i shown him. because i chose the 3rd option to train another pokemon.

so I was wondering is there any solution to this problem?
