Remove the 10minute pvp cooldown when disconnecting from a match

Its understandable that if you lose connection, you should lose rating, since this could easily be abused otherwise. But I don't see any benefit to further punishing players by making them wait 10 minutes before playing another battle, especially now that we have the option to surrender. If someone was to just ragequit, they can now just surrender, it is functionally the exact same thing, except players dont have any control over over their disconnects. 

Here is an example of why this is particularly frustrating for me: My playtime in PRO is pretty much limited to only playing when I'm on the bus to and from work, or during a work break. I'm on the bus for roughly 20-30 minutes each trip, and can usually get a few battles in here, but if im in a battle for 10 minutes, then I lose connection, I now have a 10 minute wait time before I can battle again, and this usually doesnt leave me with enough time to start another battle. I love pro, and I love the competitive scene, but when this happens regularly, it's very demotivating to try and keep engaging in pro pvp. It's happened to me twice today, once on my bus ride to work, and again when i decided to have a battle at lunch.

Surrender is the same but has a cooldown on the command in Ranked PvP battles. You can only use it once every 10 minutes. It's to avoid letting players disconnecting every match without punishment. So if you disconnect too often/fast you have to wait 10 minutes, otherwise you can simply surrender. That's why we'll keep the disconnect timer.

What if disconnect worked the same as surrender? So if you get disconnected you can still join another battle, but if you disconnect again then you have to wait 10 minutes? Currently they behave differently, where I can safely surrender and pvp immediately afterwards, but if I lost connection just once you dont get a second go. I'm guessing the majority of the time when people disconnect, it's not on purpose, so I would think the cooldown should behave the same way as surrender, and even share the same cooldown (eg. If I surrender I cant surrender OR disconnect again for 10mins, and if I disconnect, I cant disconnect OR surrender again for 10 mins

I say this because I've been playing pro for a few years now, and I've only ever disconnected from pro mid-pvp a handful of times, like when I had to leave, but I've disconnected due to my internet being dodgy, or when the servers are unstable countless times.

 

It makes sense that the cooldown for beginning a new match should work exactly the same as surrender, ie. Allowing you one surrender/disconnect per 10 minutes, since they are functionally the same, and a disconnect is usually not the fault of the player
