I was battling a guy and had 3 layers of spikes up. My keldeo was behind a sub and his pelipper used defog and it failed. I tested this with a friend and was able to recreate it. We also tested if defog against Keldeo without a sub would fail but it did not so it must be because of Sub.

youre right, just tested it again and the hazards do disppear. My bad for not checking that in the first place xp. For comparison, this is what showdown says in the same situation.
