When starting the quest by talking with that girl, simply ignore those coming Kabutops and head to Aerodactyl as fast as possible, then defeat it with destiny trick. You will not and never get to beat those Kabutops, gl

    Thank you, tried to kill the kabus for like an hour, epic fail. Then saw this and used Gengar but used scarf instead of sash and worked.

    Yep, as long as you killed the Aero before 3 Kabutops made its way to Latios, you'll clear that part.

     

    I'm guessing FEAR strat should work too.
