Jrauditore
You guys probably know a very fun site where you can merge any Pokemon with another species and get unique results, some very interesting (at least on their looks), some ugly but that could be very useful in battles (implying they'd heir merged stats, types, natures and attacks as well). First thing I've thinked when I navigate through was this all implemented to a game, I even made a plot where Team Fusion was doing these experiments looking to create the strongest Pokemon ever, and they even succeed beating up all Elite 4 and Champions in the World. So it was up to you, a 10 yo boy to save this distopic world of course. There's another fan-game that took this approach using sprites directly from the website and it's easy to access it on game folder, very fun game i should mention. But not even close as fun as this mode implemented on PRO since we would be playing online with thousands and thousands of possible combinations, community would be engaged to show their creations, not to say this all could result in a very interesting PVP mode where players would need more and more creativity to keep winning. The Pros: - Mentioned above - We already have the feature of very unique pokemon with all their ivs/evs combinations, this would lead to very unique fusions as well despite from frequently used species on the merge - Game economy and trading would benefit from this as well The Cons: - Doing this could be a very HARD job - Opening a server just for this mode could be way too costly - Maybe some broken and unbeateable combinations / Hard to keep on track which ones are OP to pvp-ban since there are lots of possibilities Thx in advance. Riddoe
-1 this is just a bad idea. Some of the pros you said arent even really pros like affect the economy. How? How will typings work if you fuse things with 2 types will it become 4. What about move and learnsets will they just change. This idea adds nothing positive for overall game balance. This idea defeats the whole point of farming because you can just fuse a high iv mon with a low iv mon and still make a broken mon. The fan-game i've mentioned had some interesting mechanics like: Pokemon 1 main type + Pokemon 2 second type Stats weighted average to resemble more Pokemon 1 No need to be exactly this way tho... there are as infinite workarounds as possible Pokemon to be made. Therefore, it would be just a secondary game mode with it's own server and features, the main servers still untouched. About Economy: just pick the way it already works, we just farm pokemon looking for the best natures and then sell/raise it, right? then add the fusion variable where you'd farm and trade even more with other players since you'd have endless species to work at now. You got more incentives to capture the same pokemon multiple times in order to fuse it with lots of species instead of just selling or leaving it rotting in the box 234. G3n3r4l
Agree with Iceflake It's the general idea of adding more fakemons into the game that's a bad idea, it ruins the original aspect of pokemon and throws massive curveballs at every type of value and gameplay from it.
