as you all know we are having halloween event and so i catched so many pokemons there i took them in my kanto journeys and i did same for johto but when i enter back to johto (Olivine city) they say that my pokemon is region locked i mean they should have done same  in kanto is not there any way to unlock region locked pokemons? please help

As it says, your pokemon are region locked.

As long as you are in johto you won't be able to use the pokemon you've caught in kanto until you beat the 8th gym leader.

After that you can use all your pokemon again.

Keep in mind that this accounts for future region exploring too.

As you enter hoenn you will only be able to use pokemon you catch in hoenn.

Until you get to the 8th gym.

Ditto for sinnoh.

The story basically resets as you explore every region.

After finishing all regions your pokemon won't ever be region locked again.

Hope this explained everything.

Best regards,

Imcnasty.
