Nathan
[glow=aqua]WELCOME[/glow] Whats up? Hey, welcome to my guide. I composed this to help out players who seemed somewhat lost whilst playing the game. In the help chat I would always see questions about the topics below. Hopefully you will find this guide useful. I have also linked other guides which visually represent the topics. I advise you use them to gain extra information which might not be in this guide. As always I hope this helps you out! [glow=green]HEADBUTT[/glow] Headbutting tree's is a great way to find and catch Pokemon as well as get special EV reducing berries. Most PRO players have routes which they take to try and find some expensive Pokemon. A couple of useful guides to refer to are leekhoasoooo's guide for tree locations and tr1ckz's guide for updated rewards. [glow=red]How to obtain Headbutt![/glow] You can learn Headbutt for 2,000$ at Viridian Maze after completing the small quest of saving a boys Pidgey You can learn Headbutt for 1,000$ at Ilex Forest after defeating Yellow. Some Pokemon can learn Headbutt by leveling up, this information can be found here. [glow=red]How to use Headbutt![/glow] To use Headbutt your Pokemon must have at least [glow=yellow]151 happiness[/glow] then you talk to a tree with the sleeping icon on it. [glow=red]What you can obtain![/glow] From using Headbutt on trees you can obtain both [glow=yellow]berries[/glow] and [glow=yellow]Pokemon[/glow]. [glow=red]When you can Headbutt![/glow] You can use Headbutt on trees once every [glow=yellow]24 hours[/glow]. Tree's in Trainer's Valley and Unknown Place have a [glow=yellow]6 hour[/glow] cooldown. [glow=brown]DIG[/glow] Digging is the best and easiest way to get free items and fossils. All regions have digging spots which are near to each other which makes farming them easy. A really handy guide which has images of all current dig spots is leandruskis' guide which also has a large list of obtainable items. [glow=red]How to obtain Dig![/glow] You can buy the dig TM from from two suppliers; the TM salesman in Celadon Mart for 3,5000$ and the shady bloke on Route 36 for 5.000$. Some Pokemon can learn dig by leveling up, these Pokemon can be found here. [glow=red]How to use Dig![/glow] You can only use dig if your Pokemon has [glow=yellow]151 happiness[/glow] or more then walk up to a dig spot and click your use/talk key. [glow=red]What you can obtain![/glow] From digging you can obtain anything from common items such as [glow=yellow]Pokeballs and Repels[/glow] to uncommon items like [glow=yellow]special vitamins[/glow] to rare items including [glow=yellow]fossils and evolutionary stones[/glow]. [glow=red]When you can Dig![/glow] You can use dig on dig spots once every [glow=yellow]4 days[/glow]. [glow=red]Where you can Dig![/glow] There are currently 10 digging areas on PRO. Located, in order of appearance, at; [glow=red]Kanto:[/glow] Route 3 (4 Spots), Mt.Moon 1F (4 Spots), Mt.Moon B2F (5 Spots), Rock Tunnel 1 (6 Spots), Rock Tunnel 2 (8 Spots), Route 15 (5 Spots). [glow=red]Johto:[/glow] Dark Cave South (6 Spots), Mt.Mortar 1F (11 Spots). [glow=red]Sevii Islands:[/glow] Water Path (6 Spots), Tanoby Key (7 Spots). [glow=orange]BERRIES[/glow] Berries can be useful for both competitive battle and training a perfect Pokemon. Status healing and healing berries can be useful inside and outside of battle. Where as EV reducing berries can be useful when trying to EV train Pokemon. You can obtain berries all across the world which makes them easy to farm. [glow=red]Status Berries![/glow] In Pokemon there are several berries which heal status conditions and give health. All of these berries can be found in berry pots on most routes and have a cooldown of [glow=yellow]4 days[/glow]. [glow=red]EV Reducing Berries![/glow] EV reducing berries, when consumed, reduce a Pokemons EV stat by 10 depending on which berry was eaten. All EV reducing berries can be found in [glow=yellow]Viridian Forest[/glow]. You can buy the EV reducing berries at the Goldenrod Flower Shop after defeating the [glow=yellow]Pumpkin King[/glow] boss. You can also obtain them by defeating the [glow=yellow]Berry Tower[/glow]. [glow=red]Berry Tower![/glow] Berry Tower is located on Route 13 after defeating some trainers in the maze. You can challenge the tower with a team who are under level 50 to receive special berries. There is also do the Elite Challenge for 2,000$ to play with higher level Pokemon. In the Berry Tower you challenge trainers through a tower floor after beating all of them you will receive some berries as a reward. [glow=pink]TRAINER BATTLES[/glow] As much as I find this feature annoying it can sometimes be useful for leveling up Pokemon which are in the 90's or so. Some trainer battles especially in the late game have extremely strong Pokemon such as trainers in the Ruins of Alph. However when trainers reset it can become quite a nuisance traversing the regions. [glow=red]What you can get![/glow] Money, EXP and less time to spare. [glow=red]When they reset![/glow] NPC Trainers reset every [glow=yellow]7 days[/glow]. I guess it takes the trainers 7 days to take their Pokemon to the Pokemon Center. Lazy, selfish buggers. [glow=red]Where?[/glow] EVERYWHERE! Level 5 Pidgey vs Level 100 Salemence is the best match-up. They always stood a chance. Honestly the devs should implement in a troll Sturdy, Endeavor and Quick Attack team. [glow=blue]BOSSES[/glow] There are currently 22 bosses in PRO each one of them with a unique team and exclusive rewards. There are also two mini bosses which you will fight from doing quests. Farming bosses is the best way to unlock rare Pokemon and items which you otherwise wouldn't be able to obtain in the wild. leekhoasoooo created a useful guide which describes each bosses requirements and rewards. [glow=red]Requirements![/glow] Each boss has different requirements such as [glow=yellow]levels[/glow] and [glow=yellow]playtime.[/glow] All bosses require a level 100 party member, most require all members of your party to be lvl 100. The additional requirement of playtime can range up to 300 hours. Some bosses require specific objectives, for example 200 Pokemon seen/caught. [glow=red]What you can get![/glow] From defeating bosses you can receive [glow=yellow]extremely rare Pokemon[/glow] of which you can't find in the wild. You can also receive [glow=yellow]rare items[/glow] and defeating some bosses gives you access to new features, i.e. The daycare center and Trainer's Valley. There is also a small money reward among completion. [glow=red]When you can fight![/glow] Bosses have a [glow=yellow]two week[/glow] cooldown whether you are victor or not. So I advice making sure you are ready before engaging in a battle.
