Heycavalier
A spicy and fair addition to the current PvP scene would be to make only ONE legendary poke available on each comp/team to avoid over-use of the same comps that consist of 5-6 legendaries most of them are broken and consist of a vast variety of movesets that pretty much counter everything PvP should be challenging and not a clownfest of legendaries (IMO, being a legacy player that had to improvise on diff strats and teams to adapt and overcome back in the day) I'd like to hear more opinions but i don't think i'm the only one on this boat Check my Mall! Avatarash
As a "legacy player", do you remember what the meta was like back in 2016-2017? Sableye, Togekiss, No Guard Machamp? The meta was actually way more stale and centralized (and a lot less fun) than it is now. And more to the point of this post, a pokemon having the "legendary" status does not necessarily make it strong. Meta trends would mostly demonstrate this, just look at pokemon like Clefable, Rotom-W, Ferrothorn, Chansey, Skarmory, Scizor-M, Metagross-M, Tyranitar, and many, many more. Additionally, allowing only one legendary would likely heavily centralize the meta around Landorus, Tornadus, and a few others. This argument has been made by many others in this and other pokemon games for years but has never been found to have a positive impact. 1 Signature made by Cydippe

Developer Eaty Posted August 6 Developer Share Posted August 6 Hello, according to our logs, very few players use many legendary Pokemon in Ranked PvP. Most use only one, some use two, and very few use more than two. The matches where more than two legendaries were used generally had a negative win rate. I can share more data on this in the future if players are interested, but I have to deny your suggestion.
