Vegetarox
Who is the best False Swiper – and why? Hey everyone I’d like to start a discussion about one of the most important tools for catching Pokémon: Who do you think is the best False Swiper, and why? Please don’t just name a Pokémon – I’m especially interested in the reasoning behind your choice. My current setup At the moment, I’m using Smeagle as my False Swiper with the following moveset: SoakSporeFalse Swipe Why I like this setup: Soak removes type immunities (e.g. Ghost-types) Spore provides reliable sleep False Swipe safely brings Pokémon down to 1 HP Overall, this combo feels very flexible and works well in many situations. Why I’m asking I’m wondering if there are other False Swipers that might be: more consistent bulkier or faster require less setup or perform better in specific scenarios So again: Which Pokémon do you consider the best False Swiper, and what makes it better than others? Looking forward to your experiences and explanations IGN: Vegetarox Link to comment https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/270556-who-is-the-best-false-swiper-%E2%80%93-and-why/ Share on other sites

Lacomus
I’m not much of a hunter, but my answer is Dedenne. The reasoning is simple. Super Fang cuts a Pokémon’s HP in half, which is often more than enough when hunting low level targets. If it isn’t enough, a follow up Thunder Wave usually does it…or I can just use Super Fang again. Recycle. I hold a Leppa Berry, allowing me to restore PP to Super Fang once it’s consumed, then recover the berry again. This keeps PP effectively topped up. On top of that, Parabolic Charge provides some sustain by restoring half the damage dealt as HP (occasionally KO a wild Pokémon you’re not looking for). That healing stacks with Cheek Pouch, which also restores HP whenever a Berry is consumed, on top of the berry’s normal effect. Put it all together and you end up with what’s essentially an infinite swiper. PP stays healthy, HP stays healthy, and the hunt keeps going. It’s not a common setup, but I enjoy using it. Sometimes, the best choice is simply the one that brings you the most joy.
