The limits of Pokemon Revolution is in the IP itself. While the single player and game mechanics have been fine tuned and master crafted, challenging, and fun, PVP has a 'ban list', and it's rather huge, and completely understandable why it exists. The pvp ban list does 2 things, it bans so much I don't want to do PVP, therefor I don't want to play the game because I've ran through single player enough its run dry for me. Secondly, Its fully justified for it's existence, and why it needs to exist.

For me it's because of just how many issues would be caused by doing different strategies such as instead literally modifying (balancing) all the mechanics and pokemons, and movesets, moves, items, so everything can be allowed in pvp. I don't wish to list the reasons, the game Pokemon Revolution is based on an existing IP, that is founded. For me I'm craving this exact engine, how the team has perfected and understood MMO's and successfully translated Pokemon into an MMO.

My suggestion (or Request) (or Wish) (or I'm dreaming) is for Pokemon Revolution Team to start a new project where they take their existing engine, strip it down, reskin it, make their own 'monsters', change it so its legal, change the name, literally take what they have accomplished and make a new official game and ip.

I have no clue how much demand for this there would be, if it would be profitable, how many players are interested. I know I am, and I'd love to finally invest in a game that is official, has limitless potential because now this team is in full control over the content. I feel it's a reality, if there was enough demand for it.

To me, the reality is that the Pokemon Revolution Team has demonstrated the ability to create an enjoyable monster tamer MMO. I can sink hours into it. Also that they have an engine, so they wouldn't need to start from scratch, but they may have to rewrite code, or some systems where it's needed so it's its own legal game. So no copyrights in game mechanics, naming or anything.

It's sort of like how 'Dark Souls' came out, then there was a genre for 'Souls Like Games'. To me I feel like Pokemon Revolution has a real shot at a Pokemon-like Game, an official one.

This is my opinion.

Always, Always, Be Prepared.

I get what you’re saying, and the idea makes sense on paper…but the core issue is this: People play PRO because it’s Pokémon. It’s not just the battle system or MMO design. The attachment to the creatures, the history, the recognition. If you strip that away and replace it with new monsters, even if the gameplay is identical, a lot of players just won’t feel the same pull. The emotional connection is doing a lot of the work. Recreating from scratch isn’t easy. It’s not just making new monsters, it’s building something people care about in the same way. On the PvP side, you’re right. Some may find the ban list frustrating, but also necessary. As for making a new IP…technically possible, but risky. You’d lose the built in audience that comes from Pokémon. Even good alternatives struggle with that. Your idea isn’t wrong though…it just works better as inspiration. Instead of copying Pokémon, the real opportunity would be making something new that captures what works, but stands on its own.
