New player having issues with Route 10 encounters

Hi, I just downloaded the game within the last week and am making my best attempt to "catch 'em all". I made it to Route 10 today and the Pokémon available on the route shown in the HUD don't align with what the pokemonrevolution.net route guide or what the Reborn discord bot show as available. I'm able to see in the HUD and in the wild raticate, spearow, fearow, both nidoran, and dodrio for land encounters, as well there is one remaining Pokémon I have yet to encounter (not a Pink question mark icon). The pokemonrevolution.net guide lists the six same Pokémon I have listed, but no sign of the illusive seventh. The discord bot on the other hand, does not list dodrio as and encounter and also lists seven additional possible encounters on the route: machoke, zubat, marowak, venomoth, voltorb, magnemite, and quagsire.

 

All of the possible surfing encounters look to match the Pokémon I've seen so far.

 

The three explanations I can think of are:

1. More encounters unlock once I'm able to surf to the Power Plant
2. The icon for the remaining Pokémon is white when it should be pink for the membership Pokémon
3. There was an change to the possible route encounters that is yet to make it to the other resources on this site

 

Is this a bug or am I just impatient in wanting to catch more mons? A small problem I'm sure, but hopefully an answer can help more than just myself, thank you.

that pink icon represents a rare pokemon which are hard to encounter but theres a event going on there rt 10 and u can catch a fools zapdos there and i think game also shows zapdos shown data there u need to encounter it it is a dudrio looking like zapdos for it try returning it after event it will gone after that if its the case i am describing

Thank you for your detailed report.

 

The encounters shown in-game (HUD) are the most accurate source, as external resources such as Discord bots or older guides may not always be fully up to date.

 

At the moment, there is also a special event (April Fools outbreak) taking place, which can temporarily add or change available encounters on certain maps. This may explain why you are seeing additional Pokémon on Route 10 that are not listed in external resources.

 

This does not appear to be a bug.

 

If you continue to notice any inconsistencies after the event has ended, feel free to let us know.
