After further review, this is not a bug. The item quantity is correctly stored and usable, however the item name is too long to display the quantity directly in the bag view.

 

You can still see the correct amount by hovering over the item, where the tooltip will display the quantity (QTY).

Yes, that’s correct. You do have both items, but the quantity is not displayed in the bag view due to the item name being too long.

 

You can still confirm the amount by hovering over the item to see the tooltip, which shows the correct quantity.
