Question about forum message deletion

I am writing to ask whether it is allowed or possible to delete messages within a specific forum.

I would appreciate it if you could clarify any rules or guidelines regarding message deletion.

In general, users are not able to delete their own forum messages once they have been posted. If there is a valid reason for a message to be removed, you may contact a staff member, who will review the request and take appropriate action if necessary.

Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it.
 

I asked because I currently have an around 2 year old forum shop that is under redevelopment that I wanted to keep as my first forum post ever sinds making the forum account so I see it as something important to me in a couple other ways aswell, and I was hoping of having to remove the messages there instead of creating a whole new forum page. I understand that this may not be considered a valid reason. If it is, how would I go about contacting a staff member?

I understand why you would want to preserve your first forum post, especially if it holds personal value. While users are not able to remove messages themselves, requests like this can be reviewed by staff on a case-by-case basis.

 

In this situation, you can report the specific messages using the report button, or create a post in the General Complaint Area explaining your request in detail. From there, the appropriate team will review it and determine if any action can be taken.

 

Please note that approval is not guaranteed, but your request will be considered.
