Team Galactic Grunt in Veilstone City does not start battle / Story progression blocked

Hello PRO Staff,

I am currently progressing through the Sinnoh storyline and have encountered an issue that prevents further progression.

  • I have 7 Sinnoh badges, including the Icicle Badge (Snowpoint Gym).

  • I have completed the Lake Acuity event and interacted with Barry after obtaining the 7th badge.

  • All previous required story events have been completed.

However, when I interact with the Team Galactic Grunt in Veilstone City (the one who is supposed to battle me and allow the next part of the story), he only says:

"I'm not doing business today."

The battle never starts, so I cannot continue the Team Galactic questline.

I have already tried:

  • Relogging

  • Changing maps and returning

  • Interacting with the NPC multiple times

Unfortunately, the issue persists.

Could you please check if my story progression is bugged or if my quest trigger can be reset?
