So, the storyline is that Jackson captured rayquaza and i need to defeat him to move on to my 8th Gym, i am having difficulties fighting the rayquaza, i am using a swampert which is level 92. Rayquaza use energy ball once and my swampert is dead, i need suggestions anyone mind helping???

Dwebble/Crustle with sturdy -> Use rock-type attack -> Revival herb on Dwebble/Crustle -> Use rock-type attack again -> go to moon

im thinking of following strategy but didnt test it yet... since stucks and crashes (you know the story) Anyway:

 

Catch 2 geodudes with sturdy and teach them the move rock tomb. "Rock Tomb deals damage and lowers the opponent's Speed one stage." (bulbapedia) Rock tomb is available in first hoenn gym.

 

With sturdy you should be able to lower rayquaza's speed by two stages. Your swampert should now be able to outspeed it. 1 icebeam should be enough. Otherwise, use revives for swampert. Pls tell me if it worked that way.

Just use bulldoze instead of rock tomb, geodude learns bulldoze at lvl 22. I used that trick for Deoxys. And maybe 2 geodudes are needed if you want to make sure that your other pokes outspeed it.
