Wanted to confirm, found a carnivine at feral site around while 600-700 discovery

191272 For future reference, please include in-game times when you discover a new pokemon. Currently it seems feral site is heavily changing due to time of day, while the only other site that changes is haunted, which I believe to be based on day halves (shuppet first half, gastly second half).

 

If any gm could confirm/infirm that, it would be great. try to ask them in game if you find one :Grin: . I personally don't think there's any link between the moment of the day and the possibles encounters ; it works like headbutts and digs imo.

 

Poochyena at feral site was encounterable only from 0:01-11:59 and houndoor from 12:01-23:59. Pancham/scraggy shared the same time with them before update.

Thanks for confirming. Kind of strange how they chose to use halves instead of morning/day/night. I'm assuming cubone is completely replacing the poochies in feral site, just because it's a useless spawn that is already an extreme common all over hoenn.

Apparently there are different "Tier" of expertise in archaeology:

 

- Beginner from 0 to 1200 discoveries (yet to verify 100%, maybe there are more tiers inside "beginner")

- Intermediate from 1200 to 1599 discoveries

- Advanced from 1600 - ??? discoveries

 

You can verify your tier from Gingery Jones in Glacial Site.

 

You encounter different spawns of pokemons / items based on your level of expertise (measured in number of discoveries).

You can gain "discovery points" by smashing the rocks inside each site.

Beginner discoveries give +1 discovery, intermediate discoveries give +2 discoveries, advanced discoveries give +3 discoveries (*yet to verify 100%)

 

If you encounter a spawn you're not "expert" enough to get, the pokémon will flee or you won't be able to find the item.
