I have a butterfree with compound eyes and I'm currently in route 15 looking for the Podgeotto's feather.

 

I've come across about 5 so far and none have dropped it after fainting

 

Am I missing something or is it just luck that it drops one?

Only Pidgeotto at route 16 during night, will hold the feather.

 

Also I'm not sure about it, but I think Compoundeyes' out of battle effect might not work yet in PRO.

It only hold by Pidgeotto at night at route 16 only. Compound eye never work outside battle.
