How about each boss has say a 5% (whatever) chance of giving their iconic pokemon, and if not then you receive 1 to X tokens (depending on boss difficulty) and these tokens are credits for a salesman NPC:

 

 

The NPC contains:

Rotom, Larvesta, Ferrothorn, Scizor, Inkay, Foongus, all Naero's babies, beldum, starters, sun stone, black belt, timburr, riolu, darumaka, eevee, sableye etc

[glow=red]This would also be a great method to include items Shane is currently working on introducing to the game[/glow]: Life orb, Choice items, Rocky helmet, eviolite etc

 

If a pokemon requires more than two full rounds of all bosses (4 weeks), it would be nice to have a method to instead encounter this pokemon like with Gingery Jones--so that we can use a sync.

I like the idea of the artefact, so apart from their good rewards you get a fragment (collecting 5 whole items for example seems weird) with your kak reward and collect till you've got w.e the amount is (vary depending on the reward?) you can trade it with the boss to get their good reward.

Or they could be recognition coins or something, where they give them in recognition you beat them

Think 5 should be minimum though

I just did the quest at Valley of steel to get the pawniard.

I think that kind of quests is even better to give anyone the opportunity to catch that kind of 'unique' pokemon that what i have proposed.

 

But in my opninion we still need to get a little revalue or changes on the boss rewards.

There's actually many new way to get unique pokes(pawniard/fossiles) with a synchro. Maybe, be able to get a synch on the boss reward will be a huge revalue.

 

It may seems too much but since we would need to get a lvl 100 synchro poke, which moreover won't be that usefull in the fight against the boss, plus the fact that with several rewards boss you can't always have the nature you want for every poke.. i'm not sure if it would be that broken.. waiting for feedback and other ideas, but the staff seems to go in that way for the pokes you can catch with hoenn.

And I actually catch the occasion to say that some bosses rewards are really in need of a complete rework since Hoenn release ^^

Many bosses are now pointless to do (see bruno/chuck) with the introduction in the wild of the "main" rewards they give.

In my opinion bosses should give "exclusive" tier 5 pokemon obtainable only by beating them (see rotom/pawniard/larvesta)

i ddnt battling bruno/chuck because the reward is can be catch on wild rather than wait for 2 weeks...

 

additional suggestion... do some Boss Coint Points Reward like in the Valley of Steel..

that every boss give us points/coins and can be trade to a t5 pokemon :y: :Heart:

The point is it guarantee for people can get pokemon <- I don't like it. However, if people get the point artefact when win, and lose the point when lose, I will agree then. It then will similar to casino function, you will have chance to get but not guarantee. That will better in MMO

Nobody and i mean NOBODY should ever be guaranteed the best item from from a boss. Clearly people have never played MMOs before, and the grind to get something decent from battles and other things., This was what Arnie wanted to create, and me to continue with that concept.

Meh did you even read what he sais, he didn't ask for guaranteed best item but usefu and slightly improved prizes, like rare candy instead of 20% type bonus item. I agree with op.

I was gonna say something like this but then i realized there was a 2nd page to this forum so i would have looked like an idiot. Although, I was gonna follow with what if instead of being guaranteed a the highest reward, after you beat bosses a certain amount of times (lets say 20-30? just spit balling) you can go to a boss and select an option to get another roll at rewards. Its more of a reward for advancing in the game getting far enough to not worry about struggling about beating the bosses and getting another chance at a reward at a boss you really want something from. Same rewards and chances, just simply another roll.

Well I know the topic have been rejected but how about put it this way.

Combine the suggestion of these players.

 

Keep the rewards as what it is but then........

Upon defeating a boss, you get a point (Doesn't matter how much/many). "Boss Points" is what it can be called (doesn't matter either).

But when you lose to a boss, you also lose a point (e.g. if you win = +1 BP, if you lose = -2 BP).

It also doesn't matter if you have 0 BP then you lose, you will have negative BP, like = -2 BP, it's fine since I can't see players losing multiple times from a boss battle (But this would be a bad thought though since some people get Disconnected and it will be considered as lose).

 

Then for the BP earned, make a roulette-like function in game where we can use BP. This way, you get rewarded for defeating boss even though you got a common item from boss reward.

But this roulette-like thing in game would still give random rewards but instead it has better prizes (or maybe put all the pokemon rewards here from boss battle).

Maybe the BP to be used in this roulette thing can be high enough or equivalent to "the number of boss battle in game multiplied by 2 or 3".

 

Please be noted that the values I have stated above are just examples being "1" as the minimum value.

 

But if this idea of mine might not be accepted due to "gambling-like" kind of side-game in PRO, maybe put an NPC like the one giving stuffs at a house in Valley of Steel in exchange for "steel points", or whatever they call it, where we can use the BP earned from boss battles with the prizes having high yet fair enough amount of BP to exchange.
