So I finished the Goldenrod story in Johto, and shortly after I found the dig tm, and went to dig in the slowpoke cave. A Gible came out of one of the dig sites and I caught it, here it is: My question is, since I'm fairly new to this, should I keep it and EV train it?

if you're on a very low budget for example you have less than 100,000 pokedollars and you have no other pokemon to train then yes i would train that.

Since you're advancing through the story mode, I'd say that the Gible is worth training to help you complete the Johto Region.
