No you wont get another chance to catch Mew if you release the one you have already. The boss is designed to give players, who lost their chance to catch their legendary/s, another chance to catch them. It was not designed to give a player infinite chances at getting a perfect legendary. I highly recommend that you don't release your Mew.

The boss is designed to give players, who lost their chance to catch their legendary/s, another chance to catch them. it's probably the rarest one ur gonna have in ur inventory as far as legendary pokemons are concerned...and u don't rly need to use it it has low base stats anyways it's not a competitive poke...

^ Exactly this. You won't be able to get another chance if you've already caught Mew successfully, even if you release it.

Yes, you can fight boss Nikola in unknown place. Check boss guide. :Grin:

The thing is:

 

U catched it once, u have caught data.

U lost it due to whatever, u have no caught data.

 

Thats how i think npc boss nicola differs the players of letting them fight him or not.
