A Pika/Raichu with Surf has a very strong move that can one-hit its most common counters, namely ground and rock types.

Is having surf better than having volt tackle?

same for me, pikachu starter and no npc

wonder if there is any additional requirements

victor is on route 19 in fuchsia just go down from the pc and u should head to a beach and victor will be there but u have to get surf from the last zone in the safari before he even tells u about teaching pikachu surf

so talk to him first about the hm surf

so this means if i start with pikachu i can still teach other pikachu that i have captured?

I'm responding to this late, but I have to defend Daitana, he wasn't even here to argue, he seems to have been just amused by the fact that you could start with pikachu. You literally can't get pikachu unless you deny the other 3 pokemon starters.

 

There's no reason for anyone besides Daitana to be agressive here. Y'all need to back off.
