Yusunoha
Sadly I can't search if this has been suggested before or not, because HM is too short a word to search for, so I don't know if this has been suggested before. This suggestion is also for something which has not been done in the game so far, as far as I know, so I understand that there's a good chance this will not be added. I've always been annoyed to hell that you either need to sacrifice skill slots or pokemon slots (HM slaves) to be able to use HM's, so I was thinking of a possible alternative for this problem. With that in mind, I was thinking of a tool/gadget/machine that a player can obtain. With this gadget (HM-player) you can input the HM-discs into the player, and you'll be able to use these moves through the HM-player. But to balance an item like this out, there's some requirements... The move will still be carried out by a pokemon, and that pokemon is temporarily able to use the move with the use of the HM-Player, but the pokemon can not use the move in a bottle, the pokemon can only use it in the world. To use a move, you still need to select a pokemon that would actually be able to learn the move, so for example you can't use surf with a charmander. When the HM is inside the player, you cannot use that HM to teach the move to pokemon anymore, once it's inside the HM-player, it cannot be retrieved. However, you're able to copy the data from the HM-disc onto a blank disc while it's in the HM-player. For this you'll need to visit a certain NPC who'll do this for you for a certain price. Each time you create another copy of a HM, the cost for this process will exponentially increase, thus it's not viable to use this method to create several duplicates of a HM for sale. The HM-player starts out with just 1 slot for a HM disc, but each time you gain a badge, you can upgrade your HM-player to gain another slot. the HM-player can be upgraded at the game house in each town (perhaps in the pokecenter's first floor?) The HM-player uses energy to function, and each time you use a move, it'll use up energy. The HM-player gets it's energy from batteries, which will deplete after several uses. With each upgrade the HM-player becomes more efficient power-wise and you'll be able to get more uses out of a battery. Batteries can be bought from the store and can be stored inside your backpack. Hopefully these requirements for the HM-player are enough for the devs to consider adding an item like this to the game. Superpichu999
This has sort of has been done with the tools and mounts found in the coin shop. You might consider them as options. Cut = axe rocksmash = pickaxe surf = aquatic mounts Sadly there is no item for flash but its being considered. Strength/Waterfall isnt inthe game yet. Fly is replaced with the subway system so thats fine. Also hms here can be taught over so its not hard to play without an hm slave on you. #TEAM ROWLETT Link to comment https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/39561-hm-player/#findComment-250389 Share on other sites
