The initial cost isn't the only concern when deciding whether or not to open a new server; longevity is equally as important. If you're curious about opening your own server, then the answer is no. I'm a full time streamer and if I start playing this game the viewers will want to join and play. The queue is already long and I thought that maybe we could pay for our own "private" server but I see that you would also need staff to watch etc. It would be cool if there was a way to run this on your own pc and have ppl join kinda how you can make your own minecraft server if you wanted or rent one. I've tried all Pokemon MMO games and this seems like the best one just the server issue. If you aren't making any money from this what prevents you from letting other people like myself run their own server for their fans? you wouldn't have to maintain it? monitor it? It would be unneeded, and kinda counter productive. Taking production off the main game, to be able to let players make private servers. What prevents us is for one: letting you run your own server, and handle all the issues there, would require us to give you (a completely unknown and untrusted by us individual) direct access to the database that runs 3 servers already (adding yours would make that 4...). I could go on, but that would be rude, and point 1 is plenty enough to say no. So that's gonna be a no. How are minecraft servers ran by different companies? nobody has access to anything. But I know it's your game your time/work just saying it doesn't make sense that you wouldn't let ppl get a copy of your work or sell it to them and let them worry about bugs. Example. You sell me version 1.34534939 of your game. I upload to a server.... different than yours... make it "private" so only my viewers have access to it. If it crashes/bugs etc you wouldn't have to worry about it. Then in a few months I could buy another updated version it wouldn't affect your current servers in any way. Anyways thanks for the hard work that you do for all the Pokemon fans. I hope the best and that maybe one day you can have more servers/people/staff helping you guys out. Daeon Posted August 22, 2016 Share Posted August 22, 2016 All servers have a relatively equal amount of players - there is no server that has dramatically less than another. If you are concerned about your viewers thoughts, simply let them know that the game is in beta, and still under development, as stated on the PRO Homepage. It is by no means faultless due to this. We are thankful for each player we have, and encourage people to play - however increasing queues are a by-product of this. In addition, as Toothless has mentioned, there are other factors to take into account with these topics, such as number of staff and stability issues. The game is also likely to suffer from bugs and crashes from time to time. Sadly, it's just the nature of the beast and at this time - there are no known plans to expand into another server as Yellow is still a very recent addition. If you or your viewers any have any problems, such as encountering bugs or community-related issues, please use the appropriate forums and we'll do our best to help where we can.
