He surely refers to the wonder trade featured in Pokemon X/Y and ORAS which consists in randoms trades : you give away a pokemon and receive a random pokemon sent by an other player.

Put one of your pokemon into a pot, get a random one out, some players put crazy rare pokemon in (though that's since there's breeding in main game so they're not rare)

Most put in common ones, since in PRO it's not as easy to get rares, most likely would be an assortment of zubats, ratattas and pidgeys XD

I guess a wonder trade will be hard to code. And everyone knows how it'll end : greedy players will spam their rattatas, hoping to receive an epic pokemon in return. So... not a good idea after all

Not to mention the fact there at most around 1800 people per server, so how may are gonna be using it. I dont think it would work with so few.
