Hiddenability
tested with: Poke 1: Poke 2: https://pokemonshowdown.com/damagecalc/ this link for damage testing, you could do it yourself to make sure about this. I have tested many times and magnezone can't 1hit KO scizor. Watch this video : https://vid.me/SYo1 So hidden power's base power is not always 60. Am I wrong or I was missing something?( I still really confuse about this, sr if I don't do it correctly) If that true that mean we could get hidden power with base 70 ? Lazypanda69
https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Hidden_Power_(move)/Calculation check this out, afaik Hidden Power doesn't only have a type, also has a damage calculation. I don't know if it's the same in this game. Hiddenability
"Generation VI Hidden Power's base power is now always 60. " many ppl and even staff confirm that hp base always 60 before. That why I am really confusing about this, this thing is really important to me, like gengar with h.p ice base 70 can k.o garchomp  Link to comment https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/48976-hiddenpower-base-power-testing-always-60-no-it-not/#findComment-298977 Share on other sites
6head
If you use https://www.psypokes.com/dex/hp.php to calculate the Hidden Power's strength, you get a value of 47. This is because the mentioned calculator isn't updated to Gen VI and thus doesn't assume a base power of 60. If you now use the calculator you linked to determine the damage dealt with a HP with a power of 47, you get the following results: 252+ SpA Magnezone Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Scizor: 272-324 (80.9 - 96.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO As you can see, Magnezone can't onehit Scizor. Since your results seem to fit to the calculations I did, I assume that PRO still uses the old formula that gives HP a strength of 30-70 depending on the IVs instead of a base power of 60. It's another one of those cases where PRO isn't quite up-to-date; another example would be Mamoswine which isn't able to learn Icicle Crash (A move it can learn in the actual games since Gen V) Link to comment https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/48976-hiddenpower-base-power-testing-always-60-no-it-not/#findComment-298978 Share on other sites

Diabo123
Ye this proves that something's wrong. If hp fire can't oneshot a scizor it's pretty useless Link to comment https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/48976-hiddenpower-base-power-testing-always-60-no-it-not/#findComment-298980 Share on other sites

Tymerod
Never had problems with hp fire on magnezone. its killing the pokemons it should just did the calculation and your magnezone should deal 103.5 - 122.6% with hp fire. Tr3y
298130 Never had problems with hp fire on magnezone. its killing the pokemons it should just did the calculation and your magnezone should deal 103.5 - 122.6% with hp fire. The problem is that it did way less than 103.5-122.6% which means something is wrong. If HP Fire was supposed to do 103.5-122.% then Scizor should have fainted. But it didn't faint.
