Chameleon
What are Power Items? https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/EV-enhancing_item There are 6 Power Items, one for each stat. They half the speed of the holder and add +4 EVs in a stat (depending on the item) after fainting a Pokemon basically. Example: Your Pokemon is holding a Power Weight. Your Pokemon faints a wild Pidgey. Your Pokemon gains +1 Speed EV from the Pidgey and +4 HP EVs from the Power Weight. Why I think we need them: Macho Brace certainly helps with EV training, but I don't think it's anywhere near as convenient as Power Items are/would be. I know this is an MMO, it needs to be challenging and all that. But this game already has enough challenges as well as other content such as quests. I don't see the need to make players spend extra time on the EV training aspect of the game. Power Items would reduce the time needed to EV train a Pokemon by about 50-70%, with the convenience of sticking to a single spot while doing that too. Keeping players for longer periods of times is definitely an important thing in MMOs, but there are already loads of more fun stuff in the game. PRO doesn't need to keep its players unnecessarily busy on a boring procedure, because there's enough content in the game to spend time on each and every day. If implemented, how should they be obtained? This is all down to the staff's decision really. However these items can be quest rewards. Either a completely new one or even from the quests that are already there, such as the Celadon City Daily Quest. Boss rewards is another alternative, but I'm personally not too keen on that simply because there are 6 of these items and getting each one of them would take 12 weeks minimum. They should certainly not be coin shop items in my opinion. _ I would be happy to read your opinions on this, for or against.
Prehax
sweepers are done ve training in like 60mins it would be good for tanks tho ♦ Spawn-Changelog ♦ | ♦ Pokémon Spawn related - Suggestions | Feedback | Requests ♦ ♦ Paradox Guild ♦ random number generation An acronym for "random number generator" or "random number generation", it refers to the process by which computers generate apparently random numbers, essentially the computer equivalent of 'chance'. Guest LiquidSnakeK
This has to be the 3rd post in a week that suggests making an already easy game even easier. There is nothing difficult about this game other than MAYBE some of the bosses they add. Even those I feel could be harder personally and they're already lvl 120. EV training is part of the game, always will be. The reason those items are in the handheld version is simple, because the handheld versions are not designed in an MMO format. PRO is designed in an MMO format, thus things that are in the handhelds that makes things less time consuming shouldn't necessarily be considered in PRO. Just because you find EV training boring doesn't make it hard. Its just time consuming. Don't like it? Find a daycare. Don't like daycare because even THAT takes time? Too bad. PRO is an MMO, it is not designed so that content can be spoon fed to you. No MMO is designed to be. (Other than p2w formats ofc). That being said I don't think this is a good idea, not for PRO at least. Its appealing to those who argue that they have "real lives" and don't have time to play hours upon hours to dedicate to EV training. Fair enough. But then maybe PRO isn't for you to begin with? MMOs are time consuming, as a result only people that have enough time develop pokemon teams geared for the end game. Either by farming them or buy spending time making money in game to buy them. (Excluding buying MS and selling etc) At the end of the day, PRO is an MMO and is meant to be time consuming to an extent, adding these WIN braces would just make the game easier than it already is. -
Chameleon
298551 This has to be the 3rd post in a week that suggests making an already easy game even easier. There is nothing difficult about this game other than MAYBE some of the bosses they add. Even those I feel could be harder personally and they're already lvl 120. Unnecessarily time consuming =/= difficult. Let's get that straight first because I did not mention "difficult" or "hard" in my original post. 298551 EV training is part of the game, always will be. Never said it isn't or shouldn't be. 298551The reason those items are in the handheld version is simple, because the handheld versions are not designed in an MMO format. PRO is designed in an MMO format, thus things that are in the handhelds that makes things less time consuming shouldn't necessarily be considered in PRO. And just because they were added for convenience in the official games, doesn't mean they shouldn't be included in an MMO. Why do we have Macho Brace? This is an MMO. Why do we have mounts or bikes? This is an MMO. Why do we have a transportation system? This is an MMO. Why did they add a Boss Cooldown Checker NPC? This is an MMO. And so on... Power Items won't break the game or make it WAY easier. Chill out. They're only for convenience. 298551Just because you find EV training boring doesn't make it hard. Its just time consuming. Don't like it? Find a daycare. Don't like daycare because even THAT takes time? Too bad. PRO is an MMO, it is not designed so that content can be spoon fed to you. No MMO is designed to be. (Other than p2w formats ofc). It isn't just boring, it's taking an unnecessary amount of time which in my opinion, should be shortened. And yeah, "It's just time consuming". Not hard which aren't the same things. I don't like it and that doesn't mean I should find a daycare. That's not the only way. Even games that sell millions improve with customer feedback and suggestions. The solution isn't always in game, it could be added. And you don't know if I choose to give my Pokemon to daycares already. If I was asking to be spoon fed, I would've asked for free Vitamins. Not Power Items. So you have to stop hallucinating stuff. Also please stop with the "this is an MMO bla bla" argument on everything. You're not the only person in the world that knows what an MMO is. MMOs have a balance between grinding and convenience. I believe Power Items is a needed implementation to add to the game's convenience as I have explained. You don't think so? Ok, I'm fine with that. Saying "this is an MMO, it should take time" does not explain a thing. 298551That being said I don't think this is a good idea, not for PRO at least. (Excluding buying MS and selling etc) Yeah good point, but not on this thread. Because I didn't make this suggestion based on people who have "real lives". I've been VERY free lately and I've played this game at least 6-7hrs a day for the past 2-3 weeks or so. I still find the time it takes to EV train unnecessary. Please quit explaining what an MMO is, we know. 298551At the end of the day, PRO is an MMO and is meant to be time consuming to an extent, adding these WIN braces would just make the game easier than it already is. -1 Oh wow, PRO is an MMO. That's new. And yes, to an extent. And in my opinion, that extent isn't met with the current EV training mechanics. You have every right to disagree, but not to describe what an MMO is as I already have the knowledge. Calling them "WIN braces" makes 0 sense btw, as they don't help you win, they help you save time. Just because you like the game grindy doesn't mean everyone else does. And stop using MMO to justify anything you don't think should be in this game in terms of convenience. #TEAM ROWLETT

I definitely don't like the grind as far as hunting pokes is concerned. So I just buy the epics I want since I don't want to spend the time hunting them. THAT is truly unnecessarily time consuming, not this silly idea about EV training being too time consuming. Dont like it? Deal with it  Considering that something similar has already been suggested making a duplicate thread regurgitating the same complaint is pointless. The point might as well get regurgitated until some give a legitimate reason why it shouldn't, not "it's an mmo" Here's a thought, next time a simular suggestion pops up, try to make the same argument you made here without saying mmo once, and see how it goes. #TEAM ROWLETT
