Hi all,

 

I am starting to feel very very disappointed with my luck. Some people link 5-6 Shinies in Trade chat while I'm yet to meet a single Shiny Pokémon in the wild. Numbers should be in my favour as I must be over 8k defeated Pokémon by now. I'm in Hoenn's Granite Cave, just past the first Badge, and I've already defeated 500+ Pokémon only in Hoenn (while looking for Ralts and Aron). And I've farmed and ground countless hours in Dragon's Den and back in Kanto as well.

 

So, is there anyone else so unlucky as me, or is it really only me?

 

P.S. Seriously, people linkin 5-6 Shinies in Trade which have preferable natures...? How does that happen?

It's unluck. The shiny chance in PRO is 1/8192. Most people actually buy their shinies.

I am at 1200hours now, and encountered like 5shinies? Onix, Houndoom, Golbat, Tentacool and another tentacool I actually run away from

I haven't gotten a shinie in over 300 hours

If u have patience. Grind 24/7 for 1500+hrs you will meet atleast 10 shinies for sure(i met 23 of them at that hrs).

Number of encounter doesn't matter, each encounter has its own 1/8192 chance.

 

You're just unlucky. I was unlucky too, spent 4 months without a single shiny, then yesterday I found two shinies in one day.

thats nothing, i found my last shiny yesterday, before that i was 1000 hours without any shiny. its all rng, having 8k encounters means nothing, even with 100k encounters you arent guaranteed a shiny.

chance is damn low...just need to pray :Smile:

Ya just needa be lucky, the guy you're talkin bout prolly bought them since you mentioned that they had right natures on them.
