Hum... A solo player would never be able to qualify (and anyway, it's impossible according to the rules). After 12 hours of farming, an account can indeed reach 10k (and even then, only by doing that hardly). It would therefore enter the leaderboard. Following your theory, a team of two accounts of this caliber would therefore earn 20k. Except that they would be on the leaderboard, of course, but would not be able to qualify.... Currently, teams of two and three are useless. 😉

Um... it wasn't ragebait at all, I don't know what could have caused that feedback. 😕 I was just responding that it seemed more than difficult to qualify for a single player (even with multiple accounts) or two players. Regarding the scores you mention, 12 500 IVs per account "on average" is practically impossible (and certainly not "average"). Based on the averages we've observed over several weeks, going to the most optimal farming areas, we're are at about 10 rares per hour. With an average of 95 IVs per Pokémon, that's 950 IVs per hour. Knowing that you'll be farming for about 11+ hours out of 12 (the time it takes to submit your Pokémon, go to the bathroom, deal with life's little surprises, etc.), you'll reach 10,500 IVs per account. Depending on the RNG, you can indeed do much more, but talking about averages at these levels seems excessive to me. 😉 Getting back to the overall format of the event (12 hours, farming from Monday to Friday, etc.), are there any discussions underway among the staff? I saw that you found the idea of farming from Saturday to Friday (by blocking the teams that qualified the week before) interesting. Are there any discussions underway on this? That was the reason for my initial comment, not to revisit the ego war I saw in previous posts. Once again, I like competition between teams, and I think it's important to encourage improvement based on the best feedback! 😉

Thank you all for the suggestions, most of which I believe are made in a constructive spirit by players who enjoy farming and want to provide feedback to the staff about this new feature. The new update (50% of +10k qualifiers) certainly prevents the accumulation of small scores to artificially increase the number of qualifiers, but I don't think it will increase the appeal of this contest. I don't really know what direction the staff wants to take with this feature, so what follows is not a judgment on their intentions. From what I've seen in recent weeks, most teams that don't think they can reach 20k or 25k will no longer participate (no chance of qualifying). So we should end up with 8 or 10 teams (more on Silver than on Gold) participating, meaning 4 to 5 qualifiers (and they will often be the same from one week to the next). If that's what the staff wants, fine. Otherwise, I think the main point to revisit is the 12 hours (or the Monday-Friday farming period to revisit). The proposals that have been made so far seem interesting to me.
