Since Somes no longer does PVP much and has abandoned this post, i've decided to hijack it :D Please note that even though i use the same tier names as smogon, this will simply be my opinion on what poke are used more often that not in PRO ranked PVP right now. I will try to update this as much as possible as more pokemon are added to the game, and more moves/abilities are fixed. The placement of Pokémon within the tiers defines both their usage and their overall potential. Pokémon that are strong and used often will find themselves in the high tier of OU, while weaker and less common Pokémon will find their way into UU, RU and NU. [anchor=0]-[/anchor] Overused Overused, commonly abbreviated as "OU", refers to Pokémon that are most frequently used in standard play. OU status does not have to do with a Pokémon's power or ability. The Pokémon that make up OU, as with all tiers, are determined based on usage. [anchor=1]-[/anchor] Underused Underused, commonly referred to as "UU", consists of Pokémon that are not used enough to be in OU. Pokémon classified as UU are often outclassed by Pokémon in higher tiers, possibly as a result of generally lower base stats, available moves, or Abilities. [anchor=2]-[/anchor] Rarelyused/Littleused This tier is referred to as either "RU" or "LU". While the name of the tier varies, its "level" is equivalent. The tier consists of Pokémon that are not used enough to be in UU. [anchor=3]-[/anchor] Neverused Neverused, commonly referred to as "NU", consists of Pokémon that are not used in pvp. All other remaining Pokémons go here. Special Notes and Notable updates[anchor=4]-[/anchor] One change already, forgot to add Weezing. A very decent physical wall having access to wisp and good coverage in tbolt / flamethrower / sludge bomb allowing it to threaten poke like gyarados / togekiss / clefable / excadril. It has recovery in the form of pain split which can be pretty useful against foes like blissey / snorlax / hippo. Added Weezng to UU tier. Promoted Tyranitar from UU to OU after some discussion. Justification can be found under the tier list. Discussion[anchor=5]-[/anchor] Pokémons for whom tier's arn't decided [Needs Discussion] Gothitelle About[anchor=6]-[/anchor] Changes to the Pokémons present in each tier's will be made according to their usage in game. This Thread is meant to educate players about the current PvP Pokémon's usage in ranked battles. Thread will be updated with each new pokemon getting into PvP, thread requires player discussions about usage. I Request that PvP'ers check the tiers and advice me on what they think. The way it is now is how i personally see each pokemon, along with some discussions with other blaze members. NOTE: PRO's tier is not same as Smogon, tiers here are made upon the availability of Pokemons In-game and usage subject to working moves and abilities. Also please note that these tiers accommodate pokemon that are commonly used in ranked ladder, which means hard to obtain pokemon like Bisharp /Goodra /Mandibuzz may find it self in a lower tier, but may actually be worthy of a higher tier. All that said, there must be at least a million spelling mistakes ad typos, please forgive :s And im sure i left a lot of poke out, so please let me know if that is the case. :thanks:

Machamp gets bullet punch as well (prority users). I feel sable is a decent lead as well, as it stops all the setter leads.

The prize question has already been answered several times... but heres goes again. https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=98&t=23144 as for when the season resets, this is entirely random, but usually we are given 2-3 days notice before the reset date.

So far they have awarded a master ball and the pvp outfit of a certain color. First season was red, and the 2nd was green. Currently we are in the 3rd season. I believe the winner of this season will be inducted into the hall of fame, literally. The hall of fame in lavender will house the names of those that win the ladder and official tournaments.

The possible solutions are: 1. Rename the empty "Battle" chat in "Rating" chat or 2. Create a calculation system that auto-calculate a rate for your pokemon basing itself on IVs, nature and ability and shows the final vote in the pokemon card (I'd really like it, but I see it almost impossible to happen even because the different natures are useful for the different builds a pokemon can have) in order to completely avoid the requests or rating. I dont know about blue, but on red server battle chat isnt empty or dead... Why does everyone feel the need for ppl to rate their pokemon? Ask for a price check if you want, rating is just stupid in my opinion. Some ask for ratings just to show off their poke, others ask rating of pokemon with all ivs less than 15 -_- How hard can it be? you see a poke, ask around for what abilities / natures are best for that poke and you will have a pretty good idea about that poke to rate it yourself. Stop asking to be spoon-fed..

I've recorded all my battles so far, and so has fad. So you guys will get to see battles upto semis at least :)

Toxic players like you arent welcome here. What makes you think you are so entitled? because you donated to the game? donate. key word. You didnt "buy" anything. You dont "own" any more privileges than membership itself gives you (privileges that are limited to within the game itself). I have lost count of the amount of times admins, and staff in general, have informed us on how much time is spent on improving the servers. Not just by capacity but also by stability and reliability. Players whine for bigger servers, then complain that the servers crash because they cant handle the bigger capacity. We got 2 servers, pretty much doubling our capacity while only slightly increasing our server downtime, and yet you complain. IF it bother you so much, go play something else, its that simple. I promise you wont be missed. And no, you cant say "who would want to play a game where they dont care about their players?" because they do care about their players and have come along way from where we started, always actively listening to what we have to say and actually acting on it. If you fail to appreciate that, please just leave. I don't recall ever mentioning spending money on the game, I know it may be hard for you to understand but my frustration doesn't come from a sense of entitlement, it comes from wanting to play because the product they have created really is great when it is up. While I guess the intended humor behind the TI-82 was lost on you because clearly you are just passive aggressive and looking for anyone to channel your issues through. I'm not sure if you've ever met a toxic player before but this post certainly wasn't on of those. i dunno about X/Y but going by generation, this game is on par with part gen 5 and part gen 6. You'll understand as the game goes on, and for the most part smogon does help, but smogon alone wont be enough for to become a competitive player here :) I'd personally go with bulba right now as venu is a a very strong poke in the meta atm.

I understand you arent picking a side here, but one the ms note, we arent exactly "buying" ms. We are "donating" to the game while being fully aware that the game is still in beta and downtime is to be expected. That said, most of the time we are compensated for downtime with a few more days added to active users that have membership, besides the 5% exp boost we seem to get every other week.

there is no format. I guess you could say anything goes except abusing bugged moves and abilities. That said, spamming sleep / confuse / same species poke in one team is seriously frowned upon and will definitely get you a very bad reputation among the community.

At the moment mew is the only obtainable legendary. I believe a celebi quest is in the works, and besides that it has been confirmed that we will be able to catch one of the legendary dogs ( entei / raikou / suicune ). You can already start the legendary dog quest, only, we cant finish it until hoenn i believe.

there are egg moves tutors in both regions

I believe the requirement is only a team of lvl 100s. You should be able to play ranked on 2 separate accounts, as long as you dont some how use on of those accounts to boost the other.

You can get them from trees in lavender i believe. There are only 2 trees as far as i know though.

I wouldnt say any one pokemon is really op to the point of being broken, but there are certain pokemon that have more advantages than disadvantages the way the meta is right now (with certain moves/abilities working while some do not). I'll just list a few that i find the hardest to deal with. Sableye Spin blocker, prankster taunter, physical dmg crippler, tank destroyer all in one. Sableye is the answer to all those stall teams that were so good during the rain team days. It checks blissey / milo / donphan / skarmory / hippo / snorlax (curse lax as well) and almost all physical attackers that arent fire type and to some extent venusaur as well. how to stop it? special attackers such as togekiss / chandelure / clefable do well against it while azumaril can take it down as well with play rough + aqua jet. Blissey Not much to say here, Blissey pretty much stops every single sp attacker in the game right now, except for taunt users such as gengar / chandelure. But even they take huge amounts of dmg if blissey carries an attacking move that isnt seismic toss (such as ice beam or tbolt). I should say here too that nasty plot toge with twave stands a decent chance at killing a blissey though para/flinch luck will be needed. Pretty easy to counter though, most stab fighting type physical moves do take it down (though i have seen some blisseys tank a dynamic punch from champ...). Blissey also proves easy to set up hazzards against, with pokemon such as skarmory / roserade / tenta / venu all taking advantage of it (even though blissey is used to counter them save for skarm). Also certain taunt sweepers such as gyara can set up on it as well, though gyara has to watch out for tbolt. Azumaril Azu can be game changing if it manages to get belly drum off and its particular counter (venusaur) has been dealt with, though even venu cant defeat azu with speed evs + ice punch after a belly drum. It should also be noted that tolanflame can take out azu after a belly drum as well. This also doesnt mean azu sucks without belly drum. There are very very few poke that can ohko an hp/atk azumaril and it deals a lot of dmg to poke switching in on it. The best counters to azu are venusaur / skarmory. Venusaur / Roserade Venu came to prominence as one of the best answers to breloom spore spam. Even now, with breloom seeing a lot less pvp, venusaur is still good as a mixed tank that counters the likes of blissey / milotic / cleffable / azumaril while also absorbing toxic spikes / sleep powder. Venu isn't without fault though, and is easily countered by talon / staraptor / arcanine / chandelure / skarmory / gengar and most notably roserade. A bold roserade functions much like a venusaur, only, it counters venusaur as well thanks to access to extrasensory and importantly, spikes and toxic spikes. Roserade being able to function as a hazzard setter makes it invaluable as it also has the potential to ohko both common spinners in the game right now, donphan and starmie. Skarmory While blissey occupies the spot of premier special wall in the game, skarmory does the same as a physical wall. It counters dragons / azumaril / ground types / grass types / fighting types the list can go on. It also has a pretty wide move pool having access to stealth rock / spikes / taunt / counter / roar / roost making it difficult to predict while also giving it 4 slot syndrome. Skarm too isnt out of fault, becoming pretty useless once inflicted by taunt. Starmie in particular counters skarm well having access to rapid spin as well as tbolt. Besides star, good counters are sableye / electric types / arcanine / chandelure / gengar. Those are the ones i can think of on the top of my head right now though to be fair a lot of pokemon come very close to being as effective as those, i'll just name them here. Togekiss / Starmie / Donphan / Arcanine / Scizor / Gyarados / Dragonite / Weavile / Excadril / Hippowdon / Mew / Ferrorthorn / Clefable / Staraptor / Talonflame / Electivire / Slowbro Pretty sure i forgot some important ones though :|
