It is really easy to do and it ensures server stability :Cool: I admit though, at first I didn`t like the requirement either, but i still did lvl a Rattata to level 100 and now i`m in Hoenn. Now let`s see how my Torchic and friends will wipe the floor with all Hoenn gyms eventually :Grin:

A rather simple and benificial suggestion

I strongly disagree with this suggestion or better said: the reasoning behind the suggestion. Why? Because this has occured only once, somehwere during/after the server backup+transfer to the new server, during which the emphasis was to get the new server stable as soon as possible. It was an emergency situation in that sense. And i can tell you from experience, the client will ALWAYS tell you if your version of PRO is outdated. There have been 2 updates (iirc) some time before the Red server move and that/both time(s) it told me my version of PRO was updated. So in conclusion: This was an exceptional situation, in which indeed the inclusion of the "PRO version outdated" coding/script was overlooked because the dev team (or at least Shane) was really busy configuring/coding the new server to run stable. -
Hmm, i disagree on some of the points in the OP. Then again, there is but a fine line between a truth and a lie. Especially the "(not) looking into eyes" one. As someone who has been bullied on and off from elementary school to halfway 1st year of middle school, i`m not someone that enjoys looking at most people`s eyes, unless i feel i can (more) fully entrust that person with what`s in my mind and/or heart, like close friends and any woman i have had a relationship with or will have in the future.

Read the first page again, especially the last few posts. The OP never intended it to be displayed for everyone to see, just the player who caught the wild Pokémon :Cool: Quite literally, he suggests a System PM with the newly caught Poke`s nature, ability and iv`s.

Actually, there were quite some complaints. Then again, not everyone is on Discord. "Once in a blue moon" you say? Must`ve been when i was asleep then, when i logged in yesterday late afternoon/early evening there were quite few people expressing their disagreeing feelings on the quest. Didn`t last for long though as people started playing with the superglue (getting stuck to npc`s) and experienced lag/server downs.

Well, to be completely honest about how i felt about this and feel about this now When i first heard it yesterday, i said that it is an absurd requirement to just put into the game a a gateway to Hoenn and i wasn`t so hyped anymore. A few hours later i still went and catched a few Rats, picked out the best and started leveling it. Today, just now, i read thru this topic and see people claim that it was also for server stability. In that light, i`d like to pose this question: Why has no one from the staff/developers stated that the server stability improvement was also linked to the new Joey NPC? That would have silenced, i estimate, at least a good part of the complaints over it, my own included. I appreciate all the hard work that is being done for us by the PRO staff, but if it is true that the "beat Joey for Hoenn" requirement was also put in place to help server stability, i do have to say that i feel that the staff was lacking in transparency this time around. Although, there is still the possibility may have overlooked it if it was in the update notes. I won`t rule that chance out either :Cool:

It`s been on my mind for a short while now, since recently reading the dualboxing thread and having heard about 2 accounts per email from people. My question is, what does the 2 accounts per 1 email mean? Do we have 2 accounts on each server? Or does the 2 accounts translate to 1 Red account and 1 Blue account? Thanks in advance!

I enjoy having a fun time with people and the PRO community is no exception :Grin:

There's no one in battle because they all come into help lol if there was specific rule they'd have no choice, I don't understand that logic though, to me it's like going to the doctors for food because the shop was shut lol Basically, Help chat almost helps for story and some related stuffs. It is very distract and get flood by rate request. In my opinion, I want to ask why people want to rate some pokemon - it is nothing useful in story and almost nothing to do in help chat. In fact, all most case is show off and that is not need to help. Additionally, the reason for rate chat not work in battle is noone want to sit in the place with just rate for everyone (everyone want be rated but no one want rate). If battle chat not work, I refer to redirect it to All chat rather than help chat. Thanks I can remember a day, not sure which, last week that Webmaster came into All chat on PRO. Who stated Ratings should be taken to Battle chat and was very adamant about it. Not that i care much for ratings inherently, but who should we follow on this? You or Webmaster?

Bad topic... For starters: Some people don`t seem to know the difference between a rule and a in-game mechanic/number. Others will just post a rule against something that annoys them more than necessary. Last but not least, i also think it is more appropriate for staff members to post these kind of topics. EDIT: Sorry, only read/saw the first page before posting this. I see now that the topic matured into a better discussion.

And that`s why the PRO staff could have at least thought a bit harder and longer about having a second person/small pool of people for PRO Android development to substitute for when the first dev can`t... dev. I can understand it being a hobby for the staff 100% but some planning ahead for matters like these wouldn`t hurt. And that`s all i am saying on this subject...
