try fishing, fish in route near goldenrod give good exp, like 1K im almost got wiped there, lucky enough my gastly's hypnosis hit the mark. i also use lot of revive there(around 5)

try get houndour, it dark fire type pretty good against ghost type. lvl up until it get 45-60 it should be no problem. remember prepare some revive + healing item(citrus berry, fresh water , or else).
