The old topic contained baton pass bug as well i believe and the topic got locked due to that being fixed i guess. So, U-turn before the patch swapped to your next pokemon in line. I believe that because Roar was changed to swap to a random, U-turn was as well. U-turn is supposed to let me choose who i want to switch to. Furthermore, if my opponent swaps pokemon, he has the priority in the switch-in. This means that after the opponent switches his pokemon, my U-turn will hit and then i get to choose. This gives an advantage in that i will be able to react to his switch in. After the patch i can no longer line up a specific pokemon to switch to with u-turn. Thus it has become more useless than it already was before.

As the title implies, the move Icicle Crash was not on the egg move list when i brought my Weavile to the Kanto daycare.

I was fighting an Umbreon and it entered under my 2 layers of toxic spikes. It got poisoned as expected and the damage was scaling up. Then suddenly after the 3rd or 4th turn, the damage got reset as if it wasn't poisoned and i just made toxic. It used Toxic on my Starmie itself so there may be some complication with opponent's Toxic resetting its own or something? I don't know but i thought the information could be useful.

Really?...as if it couldn't be any worse huh..

Yes, i wrote a thread about this entry hazard bug back in 8th of December as well, so they should be aware of the issue.

Wow..This is a beyond major disappointment. I'm completely baffled by this decision. If the only way to get Focus Sash is defeating that boss every 2 weeks, Focus Sash is not existing in Ranked PvP Matchmaking. The only time i find this useful at all in PvP would be for some tournament. Let's say one guy plays 4 matches in a tournament bracket system. He would then have to wait 42 days (1 sash+3*14days cooldown) to be able to use his Focus Sash Pokemon Build for just this ONE tournament. I understand that the mentality of the game is approving of grinding, but saying yes to everything grind related is thoughtless. I want to grind those Old Ambers because there is a chance that i get a good Aerodactyl. It stands as a trophy even, if my name is on the "OT (original trainer?)" section. But my Aerodactyl stays after i use it in battle and i can use it in all battles to come and show it to friends and foes alike. Who wants to grind Focus Sash for ranked PvP queue system? You can't. Period. Fun fact: it would take 3.83 YEARS to be able to use Focus Sash in 100 player battles.. 100.. This isn't grinding. It's called *waiting* with limited game play (remember to not play more than 1 pvp match every 2 weeks!). Can you imagine playing a game like World of Warcraft and after having defeated a boss together in a raid after weeks preparation you finally got the weapon from the boss. And then you used it in a battle against a friend and BAM the item is broken. (no repair of course!). Go defeat the boss again so you can play 1 duel again :D This is ridicilous. I don't even control the vocabulary to do my thoughts justice on this decision. This decision..i don't even.. PS: I know Shane is a game developer. Who is the game designer? Shane as well?

Playing all the games has given you opportunities to discover things like these. It doesn't give you any privileges when it comes to judging this you know. Regarding having the same rules as the real games, i already commented on that in your quote of my post. The breeding/Fly HM section. "Here no" as a reply doesn't really mean anything when i'm saying they are not supposed to disappear. If anything, it hints at you saying that they're not NOT supposed to disappear. Which would be equal to saying "they are supposed to disappear" and then we're right back at you trying to decide what the game philosophy is or not is, by making a claim that contradicts the mechanics in the real games without any form of authority or reasoning behind that allegation. So no, "Here no" in the context of the reply is not any truth. That sentence just make it seem like you want to try to save face by being "right". You're not really contributing to anything with your last reply, so please refrain from trying to be "right" and let it go.

I agree completely. I created (or recreated) this thread because i believe the staff member that locked the old thread came to the wrong conclusion based on the same line (referring to PvE) that the user: leekhoasoooo, underlined. Edit: By the way, about your quote concerning berries. Even berries are supposed to be returned after battle. This may not seem like a big deal in the case of Sitrus berries or Lum Berries, but there are berries that are almost impossible to get in the games, so it really is a big deal in these cases.

Yes, in PvE Edit: Here's a good thread about people discussing the Focus Sash and you will see that it in fact does NOT disappear in PVP battles. And yes, this is pokemon X. https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/696959-pokemon-x/67736604

Oh really? And what gives you the authority to say that? Unless a developer backs you up on that allegation, your words mean nothing. Most decisions taken already in the game are based on the real games. If not they are mostly explained. Such as why there is no breeding and the move Fly doesn't work due to the game's philosophy. Furthermore, websites with information such as https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Main_Page are frequently used when determining how certain moves are supposed to work. So if you know nothing about this please refrain from spreading false information about the developers' vision for the game.

Yes, and they are not supposed to, in PvP.
-
Can the developers please stop this move from working while it's being fixed. There are guys exploiting this to win all games. They block some pokemon that is not a threat to something like a Gyarados and Dragonite. Then they use Dragon Dance as much as they want and then clear the whole team and win the game... This is detrimental to the current PvP environment and it's just like when Chandelure had his illegal Shadow Tag ability. And i really don't want to use this move myself, just like i didn't wanna get those Chandelures..

Currently, Sleep Powder and Spore works on grass types (worked on my Roserade). They are supposed to be immune to those moves. Pretty sure the immunity to Leech Seed works already though. Edit: I believe Spore alone was mentioned in another thread but it didn't have its own thread and it didn't mention Sleep Powder either so i think it's alright to have this thread.

Because that's how it works Merse. If you have an item that originally disappears after one use it might disappear in PvE content. It could be meant for a limited advantage in an important battle against say the Elite 4. It SHOULD in fact not be disappearing in PvP. You're not correct just because you try to use some apple logic to justify the items disappearing in PvP. If you're still not convinced, all you have to do is a google search and you will realize that items respawn after PvP as if nothing happened in the real games.

Alright so i read the other Focus Sash bug thread in this bug section and the thread got locked so i couldn't reply. The OP of the other thread says that it disappears completely. He didn't mention whether it was a PvE battle or PvP. It might be true that the Focus Sash is supposed to disappear completely if this is against PvE content. But it is NOT supposed to disappear completely in PvP. I haven't tried it myself (and i'm not gonna until some staff can confirm it does not disappear in PvP after a battle, since i don't wanna lose my items permanently like what happened to my Black Belt after server crash). So don't consider this issue as solved due to the item being judged to work as intended, if it does indeed disappear in PvP battles like the ones you play when you use the Ranked PvP Queue.

Drain Punch still healing on ghost types?
Zinsmiter replied to Zinsmiter's topic in Battle System Bugs
Another update: Alright there seems be a lot of weird things going on with Drain Punch. I tried it another time where it hit my Gengar and it didn't get hp so that seems a bit inconsistent. I'll try to state the differences between the battle where it drained hp from Gengar and the battle where it didn't drain (by Drain i mean heal since Gengar still didn't take damage). IIRC: Battle 1: I lead with Scizor. My opponent leads with Breloom. I click Bullet Punch and he loses some hp. He uses Spore and my Scizor falls asleep. I click Bullet Punch but still sleep. He uses Drain Punch and heals. I switch to Gengar and he uses Drain Punch again. Gengar takes no damage but Breloom heals. Battle 2: Same beginning moves. After he uses Spore, instead of using Bullet Punch like last time i switch immediately to Gengar. He uses Drain Punch. Gengar takes no damage a Breloom DOESN'T heal. While fighting i wasn't fighting to look for errors and sometimes i just look away and i might miss something, but this is how i recall it at least. I'll update if i spot another difference. -
So my Opponent's Breloom had lost like 40% of his health and went for a Drain Punch. I switched out to my Gengar and even though Drain Punch didn't deal any damage to my Gengar, it still healed Breloom. Obviously this is not how it's meant to be since the damage should have to be actually dealt before Drain Punch can leech HP based on the damage dealt. I only tried this once so there might be a small chance that i'm wrong. EDIT: I tried it again, so it's confirmed. But now that you know it you can double check.

The move also seems bugged in another way. When you use Baton Pass you have to choose which pokemon you want to switch to. I may be wrong but it seems like you have to make the choice before your opponent. Normally if an opponent switched out his pokemon and i used Baton Pass. I would first have to choose which pokemon to switch in with Baton Pass after he made his switch. This gives me the advantage since i get to react to his switch. This is one of the core reasons for using this move. Since switch has the highest priority (Pursuit actually has higher if opponent switches out). Maybe i should have posted this in a different topic, oh well. Let's see if it gets fixed along with the other bug.

Kinda like how the Rapid Spin "spin effect" was before it was fixed this patch. My Gengar was trapped by the effect and took damage every turn.
