I have 1219 hours of gameplay and I live in Denmark. My favorite pokemon is Vaporeon. Probably because it's awesome, ice cold, cute and my favorite color blue. Unlike the mouse competition which i didn't enter i can actually use this headset. I've been borrowing a headset from a friend for some months now since my old one broke so it would be nice to have my own again. I checked out the headset and the most appealing thing to me was the 90% environmental noise cancellation. This would be very nice for me since my computer is located below a window that is slanted. This means that when it rains it creates a lot of noise which means that i have to turn down my microphone to not annoy people on Skype. Friends have also been reporting to hear birds from me on skype when i open the window in the summer to not die of heat :P Good luck all

Seems like it is YOU who doesn't know why. Gothitelle wasn't used simply because Rest TM wasn't in the game. Personally I think they should ban it as well. In other pokemon communities it's already banned and in PRO you don't even know the opponent's team, making it even more devastating than usual. Also there still aren't items like Life Orb or Choice Band to wall break along with things like Pursuit not working. Pursuit would kinda be the revenge trap. Having a check doesn't really work when you can't switch and don't know the opponent's team. Abolishing a whole playstyle such as stall based on this mechanic seems stupid. There are other ways to stall break, like taunt, setting up with lum berry, using pokemon types to ignore moves like toxic, t-wave, W-o-W, entry hazards etc.

Didn't gain Pvp coins if opponent disconnected
Zinsmiter replied to Bong2015's topic in Battle System Bugs
I might be experiencing the same thing. I have 18 wins but 11 coins. -
Because your pokemons' fire type and bug type in addition to their flying type, they will take x4 damage from rock. Normal is 12.5% max hp damage taken from stealth rock so with x4 weakness they will take 50% of their max hp. From your example it seems like it's working as intended.

they still will be, u get given coins to spend on what u want. Those prizes are set to increase and prices will change too. I don't understand. If you make it so everyone can buy top 25 ranked season rewards it's no longer special. Someone will grind the points and then buy the old achievement rewards that a lot of people worked hard for and then it will become nothing special. You should just leave the old one in history and make a new set. I spoke with a player a few days ago and he thought the ladder was gonna reset in a few days and did literally everything to get top 25 before season quit. Playing all night and got nervous. And now you can buy all that effort with coins over time? What's next? Buying service to Change OT on your bought pokemon to your own? I don't approve at all.

You don't need focus sash to make it to the pvp ranked ladder. If anything they can come in handy in important tournaments. It's not about "to make it to the pvp ladder". You make it seem like it's drugs in Tour de France. It's an item on the same line as all the other essential items like Choice Scarf and Lum Berry and should be in the PvP meta.

Maybe you don't play a lot PvP personally. But just because you barely use them it isn't the case for others who do a lot of fights. 20 can easily be spent in a day. There aren't enough for active PvP players.

Bulbapedia doesn't mention the refunding that takes place when you use it to battle other players but it does indeed take place. And it still remains consumable in PvE. Just increasing the drop rate on more bosses won't really solve the issue. You are still unable to use the item if you play PvP frequently. When Koichi first came out with his 20% chance to give you focus sash IF you could defeat him it was still hard to get. You don't need to make it consumable in PvP in order to make it fit an MMO playstyle. If you ever played World of Warcraft you would know that your weapon wouldn't just disappear if you used it to duel your friends as many times you would like. You still worked for that weapon even though it doesn't get consumed. Imagine your weapon having 50 charges and 1 would get burned when you dueled a friend. Then there was days cooldown on the dungeon with 4% drop chance on a weapon. It's not farmable if you duel a lot. Just like the case of Focus Sash. If i farm Dragonites for 50 hours and i finally get the one i want, it won't become broken in a PvP match either. I would have worked for that Dragonite and i spent a lot of time to get my first Focus Sash at Koichi before they got added other places since i didn't get it the first many times. Until Focus Sash becomes non-consumed in PvP or becomes an item you can buy or an item that is farmable in unlimited numbers if time is actively spent it will not be usable for players taking PvP seriously and playing a great amount. It's still a punishment for playing the game. I don't recall infinite useable TMs in the handhelds but then again i haven't been playing every single pokemon game so maybe it occured. You don't need unlimited TM's however. If max 10 pokemons you use need Shadow Ball TM. You will never need to farm more than 10. The equivalent to the Focus Sash situation would be that you would have to use TM for Shadow Ball every time you used the move which again would lead to the situation where the farm rate has no chance of catching up to players playing a lot of PvP using Shadow Ball all the time. It's not a solution. I can't stress enough how adding a few more to boss rewards or upping the chance doesn't change the situation for the players playing a lot of PvP. Those 20 focus sashes can be spent in a day. Having 28 instead does nothing.

I can imagine people will have unlimited Focus Sashes (all you need is 6 that don't break though) and i don't see the problem. You can investigate Smogon (a pokemon PvP community) for example and you will see that your statement of everyone using Focus Sash is not correct. It might be more popular in PRO in the beginning because it would be new and other items such as the choice items aren't implemented yet. The facts about it's fragility in PvP as i mentioned in the post still stands and Focus Sash does nothing against status either unlike Lum Berry which is perhaps the most popular item on sweepers in order to negate that first will-o-wisp or thunder wave while setting up. Obviously, sweepers such as Excadril do not care about toxic and thunder wave due to immunities and will therefore often go for items such as Leftovers or Soft Sand to be able to last in battles against pokemon like Skarmory in order to Rapid Spin more often (Leftovers) or push through that Slowbro or Donphan standing in the way (Soft Sand). Sturdy won't be pointless. Who uses sturdy the most? Skarmory. Skarmory would never use Focus Sash. It would use Leftovers like the majority of wall pokemons out there. As i mentioned in the post. Nintendo didn't make Focus Sash consumable in PvP which is easily proven in areas such as the Battle Mansion where the item is refunded after each PvP match. It is still consumed in PvE where the item serves as another tool against difficult encounters. You can use your Leftovers any time you want and people did work to get them. Personally dug up the 4 of mine and 2 from hidden locations IIRC. And i did work to get focus sash as well. Focus Sash is a reward that can be given by several bosses now but in the beginning it was a 20% chance of a 14 day cooldown boss in safron city. That was on average 70 days wait time if you were consistent with the boss to get 1 Focus Sash. How is that not working for an item? That's way more work than Leftovers. And yes it's impossible to stock it up. It's fine if you personally play 3 PvP matches a week but some people here like to play PvP A LOT. And since you can't grind them indefinitely as i mentioned they cannot stock it up. I Think i have like 19 and i have more than a thousand hours on this game. Still it makes no sense to use them since they would disappear in a flash. I tried to use 2 just for fun and they were gone in 3 matches. It's also a horrible feeling to think about losing a focus sash in a match and therefore not wanting to use the pokemon. It IS impossible to stock it up.
-
As some of you might know, Focus Sash is currently being consumed permanently if you use it in Ranked PvP or friendly battles. This has made the item pretty much non-existant in the PvP metagame since no one can stock up on them as if it were lum berries. I personally filed this interaction as a bug a long time ago because i believed it was not intentional but a staff member replied that it was intended to be consumed in PvP. He said that it was better that way for the grinding MMO aspect of the game and also that it was a powerful effect that allowed the pokemon to survive. The current way to get Focus Sash(es) is to grind bosses and get lucky. These are limited on a timer and thus can't be grinded indefinitely even if the player had a lot of spare time. This is unlike other consumable pvp items such as Lum Berry. This punishes the player for playing a lot of PvP matches and is in my opinion a horrible game design decision. Just because it is a grinding MMO game it doesn't have to be this way. Should we consume Leftovers as well because we can just grind them by doing limited digging spots and search hidden locations? This is no different. Leftovers are just a lot more popular and i believe people would demonstrate a lot more if the same mechanics were applied to this item. I believe the reasoning that it should be too powerful in PvP is flawed as well and i don't see how it's better than other items such as the predominant Leftovers item. Especially because it can be broken on common entry hazards such as Stealth Rock since the requirement to survive at 1 hp is having full hp prior to the effect. Things like sandstorm can disrupt this as well. I have never seen any clauses against Focus Sash in other pokemon communities either. There has also been people linking descriptions from bulbapedia (pokemon wiki) saying the Focus Sash will get consumed in battle. In reality in the real games, the items won't get consumed when you play online in PvP (this includes all consumable items like berries. PRO doesn't have rare berries yet) so please don't keep linking this. Back then i stood alone in the topic and it wasn't really noticable unless you happened to check the bug report section. Since time has passed while i haven't seen any development on this subject among the developers or players i decided to make this topic to hopefully make people more aware of this situation. A lot of other people i talked with found this frustrating as well and agreed with me so i wanted to make this poll to get more "voices" out there to hopefully make the game designers behind this decision change their minds. I hope you will vote so we can get the opinions of the community out there. I made the poll in the same manner as the Yellow Server Poll Shane made in the sense that you have to post in the topic in order to vote. This will also prevent someone from making free accounts to vote if anyone would do that (could be the poll creator).

Epic Venusaur / Bold / Auction lasts till Sunday!

Re: Epic Venusaur / Bold / Auction lasts till Sunday! bo: 650k <t>Ok, i buy instant. I might not be able to give you the money today though.</t> -
It seems like the wrap squeeze effect does 1/16 damage when it should deal 1/8. The squeeze effect should last 2-5 turns using wrap but i don't recall ever getting 4 or 5 so maybe that should be looked into as well. I presume most of these are true for other similar trapping moves like Fire Spin.

A Medicham used High Jump Kick and i used Detect. Damage was prevented but he didn't crash as he is supposed to. That is take 50% recoil damage.

As one might guess from the title, there's a bug with Water Absorb where the pokemon with the ability gets burned even though the attack was absorbed. A prime benefit of Water Absorb is that it is a foolproof counter to Scald. Also if this is the case for Scald it wouldn't surprise me if the same was true for other water moves with side effects such as Water Pulse (20% confuse chance).

Been a bit busy. No instant yet.

For those who wouldn't call it epic because of its SPDEF: Good players will know how easy it is for Blissey to take special hits already and the sheer value of each point of defense. Best Offer. I will maybe put instant later.

Yea. It would be nice if we could keep track on the weather status properly. You would have to be quite dedicated to keep track on turns for weather effects currently.

Burn not triggering at end of turn after switch?
Zinsmiter replied to Zinsmiter's topic in Battle System Bugs
I'm just posting here again to update this topic and emphasize the need for this bug to be fixed ASAP. This is perhaps the biggest bug in PRO PvP right now. I've had several matches where my opponents have realized this and exploited it to no end, constantly switching their burned pokemon without taking any penalty for doing so, stalling PP's. It also leads to battles of ridicilous durations. Burn is a major status in PvP and this aspect can't be ignored like moves not working yet so i hope it will be taken more seriously over other smaller fixes. -
Disable isn't implemented. Accuracy moves probably won't ever work due to the PRO's game philosophy so to speak. Most people find accuracy RNG very annoying to deal with.
-
It seems like that when my opponent switches in a pokemon with burn, the burn doesn't trigger at the end of that turn.
-
I don't know the specifics of your tests but Yanmega can have the ability Tinted Lens which doubles the damage of resisted hits. That at least would make it appear like the resistance didn't apply. In my experience in PvP this doesn't seem to be the case, but i could have missed something since i wasn't looking for it specificially. Try with some flying attacks and make sure you are aware of all abilities of the users and opponents in play and move specifics etc.

lolwut xD

Yea i noticed this before as well. Forgot about it again.

Critical hits igoring Burn effect? (halves attack)
Zinsmiter replied to Zinsmiter's topic in Battle System Bugs
Bit off-topic since this is specifically about the burn effect's interaction with critical hits but ok. If you use Iron Defense once it should effectively double your defenses against drill run. If it dealt 1/3 of your Bronzor's hp after the first iron defense that would mean it would deal 2/3 before. As seen from the posts so far in this topic or on bulbapedia you can see that stat stages will be ignored on critical hits (which is what Iron Defense gives). So if it would have dealt 2/3 before any boosts and then crits. It would deal 50% more damage and ignore your boosts resulting in 3/3 of your hp (the damage is slightly varying due to the damage formula but you get the point). In that case it seems reasonable that your bronzor could die.
