IGN: PurpleMauth I'd love it to be able to bring into school to use for my video game club with my students. I've also played PRO for almost a year and would love to try the Switch  :y: -
NPC Dialogue Errors [NOT NPC BUGS]
Purplemauth replied to Unknown007's topic in NPC & Scripting Bugs
Also went and checked Sailor Lulung in Olivine/Lilycove, and he says "Are you sure you want to go to Olivine/Lilycove City? It's free because you have monthly transit pass". -
If you're looking for PVP pokes, that tier list is pretty accurate. However there is much more to PRO than just pvp. Bosses are also a huge part of it. Start by raising your favorite pokes, then when you go to battle bosses see what pokes you might need to try and beat them if you're struggling!

NPC Dialogue Errors [NOT NPC BUGS]
Purplemauth replied to Unknown007's topic in NPC & Scripting Bugs
The subway guard in Kanto says this. "Where would you like to go? Takes only $2500 if you don't have monthly pass." -
Love it. I have no desire to do anything safari related cause of time gambling. Pay a flat rate to get unlimited access for a time period is much better.

Sylveon would be the only one with a slight upgrade, to be perfectly honest I don't think any of them look as good as the original arts. In particular Scizor, Kingdra and Dusknoir look disproportionate. (If you drew/created these, I don't mean to offend you, I just don't think they're as good as the originals. They're better than anything I could ever do, though.)

To my knowledge, only starter Pikachus can learn surf. If you somehow did teach it to your viridian one, that is a bug and is probably why it does not appear on its moveset anymore. I dont understand how teaching your pikachu surf made you broke however, and I don't quite understand how what cooldown you are referring to.

Meh. I think it's fine where it is and here's why - 1. Beldum is only obtainable in the end game. As a result, end game players have more money, and (for whatever reason) people complain about having too much money and nothing to spend on. Money sinks are important in an mmo. If money is too easy to acquire, then spending money on balls to catch pokemon wouldn't matter. 2. This is his actual catch rate taken from the games. I would agree that if the staff changed his catch rate to make it ridiculous, they should change it to what it is originally. However since 3 is the original catch rate, and every poke in this game has its original catch rate, that's what it should be. It's not like metagross is an OP broken pokemon that every team needs to have. He's rare and cool, sure, but after trying to catch the first 2 or 3 of them, you should know what you're getting into. Its not mandatory you catch every single one. I make a point to run from them, cause as you said, the amount of balls necessary does not justify having a good beldum.

Re: Defeat Bosses with the less number of Poke <r><QUOTE author="chameleon"><s> </e></QUOTE><br/> Nope, I have about a week till Greinjack resets for me. I'll definitely try it unless someone else does before me & fails.<e> </e></QUOTE><br/> <br/> I based a strategy off this. Modest Lightning Rod Seaking (29 SP.Atk IVs. Seaking knows agility, surf, ice beam and hyper beam. was holding a focus sash) and this is what happened:<br/> <br/> Palkia spammed thunder non stop. Used agility in the mean time, and slowly whittled down his health. I mostly used surf, because Palkia has Pressure. You need to keep your ice beams for later. Conkeldurr gets 1 shot by surf at +6. Yveltal lived with less than 10% of its health from an ice beam. It used acrobatics, my focus sash saved me, I killed it. Kingdra took an ice beam easily, had around 40% health left. Im not sure if Hyper Beam would be enough to one shot it, but maybe. So, at this point my seaking was down. I happen to have a Hydreigon, so Dragon Pulse killed it easily. GreinjacK put in his Hydreigon, I went first, hit him for over 50% with another dragon pulse, he revenge killed me with Focus Blast. I switched to conkeldurr, Hydreigon used zen headbutt (it did nothing cause Hydreigon's atk stat is trash) and I drain punched to kill him, then mach punched mega lucario. Mega Lucario killed me with something, I dont remember, I sent out breloom, mach punch to win.<br/> <br/> What I would change - Give Seaking NeverMeltIce/LifeOrb. Life Orb, if you have access to it, should allow you one smack the Kingdra with hyper beam, allowing you to get to Hydreigon where (in theory) itll use Thunder Fang non stop and the rest turn doesnt matter. So it would go, stack up on palkia, 1 shot conkeldurr, 1 shot yveltal, hopefully one shot kingdra, ice beam hydreigon, and you're left with the lucario, which Chameleon described many ways to deal with it. <br/> <br/> Possible other strategies - Lead with a swampert and focus sash (I dont know if this is necessary, but it just makes the odds 100%) to get stealth rocks up (if no access to life orb/nevermeltice). The rocks will make sure yveltal drops, and gives you extra damage on all pokes. Will likely also help with the Kingdra problem. <br/> <br/> Tyranitar can also set up rocks, however will almost certainly need a focus sash to stay alive. Will also provide passive sandstorm damage which can be a good or bad thing.<br/> <br/> Weavile would be extremely valuable for this fight - should be able to revenge kill the Kingdra, deal with a damage hydreigon, and hit mega lucario.</r>

I don't know if it's possible to reorder the announcements section of the forum, but needless topics are pinned at the top (Xmas update, valley of steel). The PRO Wiki post (which is a fairly significant addition, in my opinion, well done for that) is the 7th post down. Keep Punishment Policy locked at the top, but then maybe just chronological order?

I listed the 15 centers. Thats literally exactly what you are asking for. And I explained why the scripters aren't just giving you the solution to your problem. I'm helping. (I also accidentally thanked your post. So thanks for telling me to not help you  )

I think you need the actual id of the pokemon. Do you have a screenshot where it says in the chat box Natu, LV 23 (with the ID of _____________) has been released?

Oldale, Petalburg, Dewford, Rustboro, Verdanturf, Slateport, Mauville, Lavaridge, Fallarbor, Fortree, Lilycove, Mossdeep, Sootopolis, Pacifidlog, and Ever Grande. 15. Don't ask for scripters to just "do something" for you. The means to do this quest are here. The scripter is saying what he's saying because they can see whether or not you've activated them. It would appear you have not. Keep trying.
-
Right, your logic is "I don't do this just because I don't want to". When the means to succeed exist, and you complain that you can't do it, you can't blame anyone other than yourself. If you think of it as 3 focus sashes to win some berries, then sure you wont see the value. I think of it as 3 focus sashes for a Zorua. Or a Hawlucha. Or a Croagunk And that is completely worth it.
-
Absolutely. However I think that's branching into a separate issue. Reward balancing is something that should definitely be talked about moving forward. Like you said, the quality of the boss battle should have qualified rewards. I don't know what those might be, but I do agree. A lot of bosses have fine rewards, but bosses like Toothless/Wargreymon/Sgath and Keres don't have rewards that justify me even thinking about fighting them.
-
Mirror coat, while not used on every pvp set, has for sure been used against me. Its extremely easy to buy it and replace it with something then replace it for another move if you dont want to keep it. Using 3 focus sashes (over the course of 3 battles) is an extremely easy item to get, via pvp coins or by getting them as the common reward from Koichi. And you get 5 from Koichi.
-
The luck factor in rewards is certainly real. I guess I have never seen it as bad, cause I have a timid Volcarona and adamant Turtwig from erika, and an Adamant Honedge from Ravine, lol. However, for me personally (and guessing by your post on this), getting the dex entry is enough motivation for me to go and do it. For some people, they could care less about having the pokemon to say they have it, they want a pokemon they can use. And I totally get that! The only issue, that I see, is that theres no way for staff to implement a reward system with gift pokemon that wouldn't lead to it being abused somehow. Even if you could pick just one of those 3 things (IV, ability, nature), it would lead to the pokemons value tanking significantly because more and more good versions of that pokemon exist.

Let me preface my post with this - my initial thought when I saw the change in requirements and his team was pure frustration. My 3rd battle with him is up literally tomorrow, and I was scared I wasn't going to get my reward. (Don't come on this post flaming me and saying how I'm wrong if you have no evidence/proof/argument. I am more than happy to have a civil discussion with actual objective proof and/or reasoning as to why having 1 challenging boss in 30+ bosses is a bad thing). This is a FANTASTIC change. I personally was disappointed with the new Jenny boss being implemented. More bosses are always great, but come on, she's probably the easiest, only behind Pumpkin King or Brock. Why this is good: 1. PRO boss battles have no challenge in them whatsoever. When you get to around 500-600 hours or more in game, you have a decent collection of lvl 100s, and you can mostly sweep every boss in the game with a set up pokemon and some potion spam (Erika, Koichi, Chuck, Bruno, AND Pumpkin King insta lose to a swords dance set up on a Talonflame). 2. PRO, in general, has no adversity whatsoever. There is nothing challenging about it. "Well it's challenging to get good pokemon" sure, you might have bad luck, but for bosses, you don't need pokemon with 25+ IV in every single category. My galvantula with like 17/31 speed IVs still outruns any boss set up and can get sticky web down to cut speed in half. My H.A breloom has 12 attack and can sweep Brock and other bosses no problem etc, etc. 3. "The requirement is too ridiculous, it limits what teams I can use". THAT'S THE POINT. STOP USING YOUR GENGAR GYARADOS AND TALONFLAMES AND USE OTHER POKEMON. RAISE SOMETHING DIFFERENT. TRY NEW THINGS. If you want to enjoy this game long term, what's more sustainable. Auto-piloting through the 30 something bosses we have now? Or having to stop and consider different requirements for each one, forcing you to have a variety of interesting pokemon? My most recent favorite level 100' i've raised have been a Swift Swim Huntail who flattens everything with sucker punch/waterfall/ice fang. Combo with something with rain and it sweeps. I've literally never seen anyone else raise one. 4. It's been changed for roughly 48 hours. As Shamac said in one of the posts complaining that it should be changed back, there are already tricks and ways that people are using to beat him down. Want a free tip? Milotic + Focus Sash + mirror coat. Bye Palkia. 5. "Old Greninjack was tough enough, you need epic pokes to beat him" No. You didn't. He could be swept with a moxie Gyarados. Again, like another 7 or 8 bosses can be swept by a Gyara w/ dragon dance. 6. They implemented this at the perfect time, with the perfect boss. Greninjack has 3 reward pokes that can only be obtained through him. And they changed this on/around when everyone got 1 of the 3 rewards done. If you're an end game player like me, and want the dex, you need to find new strategies and pokemon to beat him. Thank you PRO, for finally introducing challenge into the game! As one person mid game said when they LOST to him, "wow that was the first boss battle I've lost in over 1000 hours of game time". Isn't that maybe a sign things should change?

Please put the boss greinjack how was....

I don't understand the 1st sentence Server might be better but when it does crash on you, all you get is an "I'm sorry for the inconvenience ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^" reply so it doesn't really help does it? Literally haven't had the server crash on me in 6+ months. Maybe we play in different time zones, but Blue is extremely reliable. I've had worse problems with servers on major release steam games from billion dollar companies than I have had with PRO. -
I'd recommend getting a poliwag from the route west of Viridian, or a budew from Viridian Forest.

Magnezone. Steel/electric is a cool type and I really like the design of it. That and I got a shiny one w/ HP fire a week ago. (also I think this should be in off topic since it doesn't relate to PRO)
