I don't think being able to sync it is a good idea.. I'd rather have the bosses reset earlier and have a chance at shiny than sync. Some pokemons are supposed to be rare, just leave it at that with random nature.

Is there anything about what do to to unlock Challenger Rick's quests ? EDIT. Nevermind, I just had a little bug. Completing the island's storyline unlocks the NPC challenges.
